Before I saw this, I actually thought the Xbox One had a somewhat fair chance to do alright if there weren't too many other missteps...
I believe Xbox One will flop, perhaps not immediately, but with two years.
Hope the footage is not what he's actually comparing though, multiplayer vs single player..?
Yeah so do I.
I actually conceived the "mass unit" control mechanic, i.e. controlling the phalanx, long ago for an American civil war game setting, only way I could think to really get a game like that to be both realistic and fun to play considering the lengthy reload times (although Assassins Creed bypassed this by simply shortening the reload of those old guns, but still kept the essence of how they functioned).
Though it is nothing new in RTS ga...
Yeah definitely, if it turns out the box just can't put out... I think this will have a significant impact. Especially as time goes by and PS4 maintaining a price advantage.
I honestly dont know anyone, personally, who gives two craps about the tv/cable integration on Xbox One..
Despite any evidence, I really just find it difficult to believe, at least with THIS of all games, that it could not run at 1080p on an Xbox One...
It makes almost no sense, this game shouldn't be taxing either console unless there is some huge visual element they are not demonstrating, or even non-visual/a.i. or physics/ballistic system in place consuming vast resources...
Not saying PS4 doesn't have a significant hardware edge, but this isn't th...
Really... looks like PS3 footage. I mean it really does. I haven't kept up with CoD but the reveal footage looked just way sharper and clear in my opinion... the textures, the shrubs, the weapon... all look bad.
Angular, low res, IDK what's up?!
What res was this recorded at, I put the video res up to 1080 so I don't know, maybe it stands out because it is a daytime desert level?
Bye Watch Dogs, and my incentive for holding onto my preorder for myself... Launch Edition PS4 preorder up for grabs! Let the bidding begin, feel free to message me.
Battlefield 4 Launch Preorder already sold, only basic launch edition remains!
Preorder up for sale, message me.
"Must go faster."
Cross-between would be nice, go to ancient Egypt as an Assassin and then FUTURE Egypt as a future Assassin, the future actually being the "present" time line perhaps in the series or maybe farther ahead.
Weave the two story lines into one.
Be awesome
I'm going with phallic flaccidity as my excuse
As far as most "realistic" look:
I'd say
Crysis 3
Deep Down
Ryse
Killzone
Now how many polys each is pushing, resolution and all that, this is just my opinion on the "look."
And I am a fan of Killzone, impressed with SOME of the visuals in Crysis and smooth gameplay, Ryse and Deep Down are relatively unknowns for me apart from what I have seen in trailers and such.
He didn't force anyone to buy anything, he did his part, got the preorder early and now he feels good in accomplishing what he set out to do in order to make some money legitimately. He supplied someone with a service they were unwilling to do themselves.
If he is something other than "good" in character, don't ever go shop anywhere ever again my friend because every single store and goods in this world (their prices) works exactly the same way. Start making...
Apart from price point and features, it is the timeframe people should consider this time around and marketshare after this last generation.
Micro made significant ground due to the early launch last gen, have a larger install base/fanbase now.
Each console launching around same time now, with similar fanbases (statistically speaking) with Micro at a higher price point.
We will see how it all pans out with this in mind.
What's needed, at least in a mode of its own:
Incremental, visible/gameplay relevant vehicular damage and repair (more realistic), shooting a tank over an over in the tread will not destroy the tank, but disable it and a blow torch could cut open the hatch, but never simply blow the tank up.
Chopper pilots go down with the chopper, no parachuting, but maybe they can survive heavily damaged if the altitude was not to great or they bring it down gently enou...
Most of the potential with cloud computational assistance will be with massive persistent world games that are designed to continue "living" even when you are not active in them. Has great potential in that regard, but obviously has limited use in purely "in the moment" action games.
Make a Hannibal Lector game, get Anthony Hopkins on board to voice it, and you are golden.
The 4K option really would be catering to the very cream of the crop for PC users, but good that it is there.
What if I am already eating rice and beans?
Crumbs and dust...
Hope other games follow suit, if they absolutely have to just show the damn pregame bull up in a corer of the screen or something while still giving you control quickly as possible
