Another benefit of a "FREE" Online Service. Lets see how developers feels about this. I guess $ony really doesn't like that "Game Attach Rate" thing. If you lose your third party support Sony, it will be "Game Over" for you. I dont care how much "Name Brand Recognition" you have.

Would you release a game that you spent millions of dollars on, to a 200k+ user base? I certainly wouldn't, and neither will most third party developers. Maybe thats what Sony meant with there slogan, since all their games will be dalayed.

The PS1 came along when we really needed a change from Nintendo, and their insistence on enforcing their cartridge based proprietary format. Licensing fees weren't enough for them, they had to make royalties off the N64 cartridges to. This along with their reluctance to support (M) rated titles was there downfall. As George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
