I absolutely agree to the things you stated in this argument, but let's look at an interesting example of Apex Legends.
Some time ago, the Game was in a dire need of patches, improvements to ranked and just overall fixes. But Respawn did not focus on one specific thing and did everything the way they did, new character every season, new skins, and that's it.
The players asked ALOT for changes to this system as more characters meant that the game would get too divers...
No they do not respawn like in other dungeon titles
