I thought Gears was dead! When did they decide to drag it back to life?
Considering, if the CPU time is an issue, they could have offloaded the AI processing, physics etc to GPU via asynchronous compute on the PS4 it seems a pretty big cop out to just go the parity route and use that as an excuse.
They just don't want MS to spit their dummy again when the XB1 version comes up lacking.
I like how they say that Sony should be spending PSN money on creating DDoS defences. Fuck that. If these little pricks weren't so intent on masturbating in public and pulling of these script kiddy attacks then Sony could be spending all that money on new IP and games instead. That is a worthwhile use for that cash not defending against some loser who's pissed off because their girlfriend left them and now everythings really awkward. Because their girlfriend is attached to their arm.....
I don't see how you are creating an illusion of dilution or fracturing in their gaming business... You've got last-gen (PSP, PS3) and current-gen (VITA, PS4). PS+ covers all of them (PSP by making its back catalogue of games available). PSNow and Morpheus represent the next step in cutting edge gaming and will support the current-gen. Through which you get your games, music, film, TV etc. That's kind of the opposite of what you'd like to see.
So PlayTV is making a return, hopefully supporting HD channels this time. It's great that Sony make optional extras like this whilst keeping the main focus on supporting great games. Which, at the end of the day, is what it's all about.
Me. I want it all, and I want it now!
I'm hoping they're doing a 'Death Note' inspired anti-hero type game, or something just as gritty.
