Ripten is a great alternative to the big guys like IGN and 1up... this is one to watch for sure. Lots of their stories seem to end up on N4g as well.

I thought uncharted was ok-- didn't care for the whole shootout, puzzle, shootout, puzzle thing... the cutscenes were ok, I guess... but is melee weapons really what the series needs?

It's sad that we have to lower the debate to this level, but frankly as a gaming community we need to completely deny that games could possibly cause the level of violence seen in recent incidents. Lawyers like Jack T are just out for a buck and they will do or say anything to get on TV.
The Mulligan, the Easy, The Ba$tard... that's a good way to look at it. The ideal game has lots of auto-saves, but still offers a challenge throughout and is not afraid to kill you in a fair, even way.

Why are people happy that the Ps3 and Wii are beating the 360 in Japan? Japan never took to the Xbox, even after 7 years of being in that market. It's like being happy that ramen is doing well in Japan. It's just expected, that's all.
