This is not Cock Fight Simulator 2021. It's a small segment in a huge work of interactive fiction.
Not everything in life is out to hurt you.
Ahhh, clickbait...
It has to be said, with the amount of grammatical errors in this rant - combined with the number of times your points contradict each other, your review should probably join Biomutant in the dumpster. But I guess that's what we should expect when anyone can be a video game "journalist" nowadays...
To the people unhappy about PS5 having no backwards compatibility: just keep your PS4...?
Personally, I'm buying a new console to play new games. Yes, it'd be convenient to play everything on just one machine, but for Sony it's an expensive requirement to deliver that, honestly, isn't in high enough of a demand for it to be profitable.
I have my PS1, PS2 and PS3 for the odd occasion I want to visit nostalgia town. My PS4 will serve the sam...
😂😂😂
Oh. They're not joking? Hmmm, can't say I trust this promise based on how the car crash that was Anthem First turned out.
People were offended by this??
Oh good God...
Nah, I'm good.
A good article, but...
Changeable stats: no. Leave the game meta alone. It's simplicity is it's brilliance.
Online career stats: I'd prefer a separate ranked mode. I don't need to see how many no-lifers are beating my times/win ratio. I would, however, like to see how I fair against friends.
The remaining suggestions are really good. Especially customisation loadouts.
Ugh, the fanboyism is rife here...
CTR NF is a brilliant, skill-dependent game. Sonic Team Racing features a teamplay twist to the karting formula that is interesting and well executed. Mario Kart will always be enjoyable, vibrant and quirky.
Perhaps it's about time we stopped comparing kart racers' junk sizes and were able to say "hey, this game's good" or "I like this" and leave it there.
Yes, that in...
Oh please...
Play the game. Learn how to drift/boost. Get familiar with tracks and mechanics. Then master your skills.
When I played CTR NF on launch day, I sucked. Since then I've completed Adventure Mode, and this evening I beat all of N Tropy's time trials. Online, I'm now in the top 3 consistently.
This is Sekiro all over again. Whatever happened to making an effort to better yourself?
Sonic & All-stars Racing Transformed > Sonic Team Racing.
Crash Team Racing > Mario Kart.
Personal preference. Sorry, not sorry.
13hrs in, here. Done 3 main missions and a bucket load of side content. I'm not even close to being bored.
If you've just blitzed the main storyline and ignored all the activity around it, no wonder you're unhappy. This game is not designed to just be completed. You're supposed to be distracted, to deviate, to wonder off the beaten track; even the devs explained this. By not doing side content, you've missed out on most of the character upgrades, abilit...
You have entirely missed my point.
The reviewer's comments were of the ilk that the game is bland, boring and can be finished quickly. My point was I've done a bucket load of things in just 95 minutes, without actually tackling the story - disproving that a) this game is short, and b) the wasteland is empty with nothing to do.
So take your snark elsewhere.
"Next live service success story"; implying they've had one?
This game is not mediocre IMO. Those deeming it so have either rushed their playthrough (which even the devs advised NOT to do), or simply don't understand what Avalanche/id was going for.
I've played 1hr 35mins so far and in that time I've liberated two strongholds, hunted three Arks, got into two spontaneous races, several random encounters and shot a LOT of goons. I've not even started the 2nd mission yet, and I'm enjoying every moment.
It got remade, 3 years ago. But I suppose that means it's dead in the water, right?
-_-
Are we still on this?
I'm not sure why some are outraged by this. Certain games have allowed the purchase of instant unlock/'timesavers' DLC back when PS3 was current gen. This is not a new industry practice.
I also don't get the elitism. The "git gud" mentality doesn't help anyone. Just let people do what they want without judgement. If you'd rather earn the unlocks, cool; don't buy them.
P.s. no offense meant.
Pretty sure I read that hackers have already broken this. So cheaters will still be a thing - yay.
Anyone else miss the days where people just, y'know, played games and had fun without ruining things for others?
