I honestly thought the same! It was all in-engine is truly impressive and a testament to Naughty Dogs talent and reputation for developing some of the best games.
That's hilarious, can you imagine doing MO-CAP on a fly?!
I hope when they demo the game on-stage (when ever that may be) they would say; forget realistic fish AI, we have realistic fly AI :)
Let me ask if Husky Starcraft and his friends would do a parody song for that.
Seriously, this game is looking to set high standards for all other next gen games once it is released.
My mind is literally blown once I found that it was all real-time and in-engine, running on the PS4. My first impression was it was just a very good looking CGI trailer.
Corrine Yu doing the coding for Naughty Dogs now is also a major plus and looks like it show...
Those in game screenshots are so drool worthy.
Games that looks this good and crisp is what I call next gen visuals.
One of the best looking next gen games I've laid my humble eyes on.
IMO, this looks wonderful and can't wait to get more details on the game.
Was this footage taken from a PC build?
Same with me. It would be my 4th PS4 that I bought. I have one for myself and bought two of my brothers one on launch as well.
Might end up selling my PS4 to my cousin at a loss :(
I can't wait!
Kindly GTFO.
Sincerely, the internet.
Precisely. At least this year, their show wasn't cringe worthy with emphasis placed on AI fish, TV, apps, Cirque Du Soleil, and....Usher lol.
This game is looking great.
I can agree with that.
Show us something, anything, at this point about this game.
Even one of those developers diary would suffice as well.
Here's to hoping Gamescom or more likely, Tokyo game Show (It is being made by Sony Japan studios) will blow the wraps off this game.
It didn't feel like a Sony E3 Press Conference because it didn't feel awesome!
On a more serious note, it was a big improvement overall compared to their usual E3 press conferences in the past.
It was mostly third party games that were shown and the first party exclusive reveals were all CGI and not in game. Would love to have seen gameplay of Scalebound, but it was all sadly CGI.
*Face palm*
LOL, this is fun.
A man's friend agrees that CGI trailers can be okay if used for established franchises, as fans of the series has a good feeling of how it'll look and play already.
Based on that logic, a man's friend can also deduce that Scalebounds game play will be fast, fluid, over-the-top and quite possibly be a hack and slasher. (Developer: Platinum Games)
That is their biggest hurdle right there. Even with X1 at the same price as the PS4 now, most software sold on any system (maybe except Nintendo's systems) is by third party games.
The media and gamers alike - through word of mouth will let it be known that the PS4 version is the one to get (often times better resolution, AA, maybe FPS, etc.) because it is simply easier to develop for and outright has better hardware under its cover.
Now top that off with...
I feel for that man :)
That man should henceforth no longer get hyped by CGI trailers like he did with Dead Island.
Scalebound looked like it could be a cool new series. I was unimpressed with how much CGI was used to show off their new exclusive games. I wanted to see how Scablebound's gameplay would look and play.
You can bet your buttocks that their were no sales figure, or talks of sales, because their sales pales in comparison to the PS4.
Overall, it is a lot better then their usual E3 showing (cough* Circus, white robes, Usher, TV, TV, and more TV)
I'm looking forward to Sony's show later on today and hope they too will make haste of any sales talks and show us even more exciting games to look forward to.
Don't do that, Square Enix needs all the Gil they have nowadays.
If you knock all the Gil out of them, they might not have enough money to finish Final Fantasy 15 and I would then be very sad.
Thank you for controlling your anger. Now let's both fire up Final Fantasy X and be happy again.
PS4 version as well please!
It won't stack up to Gran Turismo in terms of content. That game is huge in terms of amounts of cars, tracks, modes etc. and is also a driving simulator, which this game isn't trying to achieve.
This game isn't supposed to compete with the series and provide all the content that is in Gran Tursimo. It is providing a different experience. More of a social experience that is much more forgiving in the handling of the cars, with the focus on more exotic cars.
