I'm sorry but while I agree with most of what you are saying, you have an incorrect acronym in there. GOW is an acronym for God of War. GeOW is Gears of War. No game will steal the acronym honor (sounds so cheesy >.<) of "GOW" from God of War.

That's just the English minor in me speaking. I have to peer edit papers all the time and found this one to be a mess covered by a false sheen of fancy words. I can't cut a journalist slack. A real one wouldn't post an article this fragmented.
This article is way too wordy. It tries to look scholarly with overly-fancy words and attempted (failed) complex sentence composition. However, it just becomes annoying with the horrible paragraph and grammar structure. Vocabulary and syntax errors don't help much either. Too much frosting, not enough cake.

It's not really flying or levitating (levitation is static and stays in the air). I'd say it's most similar to the function of Raziel's torn wings in the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver series. Gliding.
I've never been able to stomach this show. I'm not sure if it's that I don't like hiphop/rap or that his English is so broken that it's obnoxious. All of these amateur gaming "journalists" are rather nauseating, recently.
