Hope this fixes the blu ray drive noise I have had since the march update. EVERYTIME you put in a game disc to play a game after about a minute the disc drive will make these weird sounds for about 10 to 15 seconds - sounds like 'gu-gunk - gu-gunk' sounds like it is searching for something on the disc or maybe partitioning data. Then it stops and the game plays fine. This only happened after the update and it has not caused any scratches to my discs and has not made any games crash ei...
Thank you Mr. Pennelo for clearing up this BS that was started way back. XB1 is a fine system with plenty of power. Over time optimization and newer tool sets will help with games. I love my XB1 and some of the games on it are awesome. MS just needs to push out the best games they can make utilizing their hardware as it is and that will be more than enough.
Game changer? Really? It will help I am sure but as far as game changer I highly doubt that. MS has been spewing so much PR banter from cloud to balance to other things as well. This just gives them and their customers some hope to hold onto and it is still a good thing. It will help as I said but it is 2 years away and once again MS talking the talk but we have yet to really see anything concrete from them in terms of 4x power from the cloud and now this. They know they have a weaker system ...
Next rumor from Mister X will be there is a secret sauce within the secret sauce or maybe even top secret coding team from NASA will unveil XB1 true potential by Holiday 2015 when DX12 hits. This crap is all ridiculous and just makes XB1 have more negative publicity because of it. Please stop with the rumors already - lets wait and see what E3 brings.
Sorry Phil but you are not catching up any time soon if ever. Just show the games and push for the best they can be with what you have. XB1 is a good system but all these execs keep running their mouths about secret sauce, catching PS4, crazy cloud power - its all PR bullshit. System is just fine and more than capable of competing. Cant wait for E3 - hope to see some Sunset Overdrive footage and please show us something on Crackdown 3.
In any case this console war is going to be very interesting and in the end the gamers win. Glad I have both systems and I love them both for what they are. Nice to know MS and Sony are doing things to make them better over time.

2 years is a long time. Earlier today Sony released info about optimization kits of their own. By the time MS gets this going Sony will be even further ahead because of their own improvements and their inherently stronger hardware. A good step for MS but too little too late.
GT5 Prologue came out back in 2008 if I remember correctly.
This game will be awesome when it comes out - dont get on them for taking the time to get it right. To many times a company just throws a game together and ships it out to make a quick buck and then makes you buy an endless amount of dlc later to make up for their incomplete product (Forza 5????)
GT7 if done right will be amazing looking with the PS4 hardware and I am sure will make alot of people hyped. That will be as close to photo realism in a car sim as you can get.

Yeah but PC's don't have 'Secret Sauce'.... j/k. Love my XB1 and my PS4 and in the end it all comes down to them getting games you can't always get on the PC. Sony has some of the best exclusives. Period. End of story. XB1 has a nice lineup of games coming as well and I can't wait to get my hands on Crackdown 3 and Sunset Overdrive when they arrive. PC's will always have the technical edge because they evolve so many times over the course of one console generation...
Now Titanfall will finally be 1080p NATIVE and 60fps on a home console (PS4). AND.... they don't need any 'Secret Sauce' to make it run in 1080p. Its a great game and I have it on my XB1 but when the sequel lands it will be better on my PS4 when I pick up that version. Maybe by then the XB1 version will at least be 900p?
It makes good business sense to go multiplat if they do for Titanfall 2. Shutting out a much larger install base is stupid and really hurt them this time around. Just hope they put in a real campaign that is offline and also a bots mode in case your signal is spotty and you would like to playa game you paid $60 for.
People need to speak out and demand better things for their hard earned money. I have both consoles and MS has some things to sort out to get it better. However.... no amount of fan intervention can help in the production of the vaunted 'Secret Sauce' MS is manufacturing night and day to try and help smoothe out the whole 1080p rez debacle. Fan input is always good but factory MS robots can produce sauce night and day without taking lunch breaks.
Its 692p upscaled to 792p. Cant utilize the secret sauce or that crazy cloud powah like its older brother so that is why it is where it is at.
Wonder if they are still working on a resolution patch for either 900p or 1080p. Was it scrapped? Either way the game still looks great and I love it.
