Potentially this game could be the high point in the series. I hope the co-op sees you as Third Echelon Agents again, but this time hunting Sam, and tying in with the main story.
Tha lack of co-op was one of the big dissapointments with Double Agent.
Perhaps I'm missing something but have your got a source for when EA and Microsoft said Madden 09 would be better on 360?

The graphics of this game are really bothering me. I'm not sure why, and I know gameplay comes first but there's something about it which looks very unpolished. Mind you, we have no idea when it's coming out.
It's still wierd, though, I mean, it's a PS3 exclusive, why isn't it looking as good at Killzone?

In a way I admire Graffeo's commitment to the format with the cheaper players and superior features. But, for god's sake, be realistic, end this ridiculus war, and start raking in the cash.
If he's worried about install base, he needn't. Even with a relatively low Blu-ray attach rate with PS3, the sheer number of disks sold as opposed to HD-DVD makes this a non-issue.
If he's worried about interactive features, he also needn't be. BD-Live is just around the corne...

Good. This was a stupid rumour to begin with. The Splinter Cell team have proven themselves to be completely incompetant with the PS3 (Double Agent), and if it does ever come to the PS3, i wont be buying it.
@PirateThom: Aah, OK. Fair enough. I actually preferred the PS2/Xbox version of Double agent to the 360/PS3 version (it had co-op!), and, yeah, I loved POP:SOT, SP1 and 3, and Conviction sounds really promising.

Ubisoft are terrible at scaling specs for PC, and I mean, come on, Assassin's Creed isn't THAT much of a technical feat. You still have to load between cities, the character models aren't that great..I..

now, now, Rockstar need to make some money on this one, and at the moment, 360 is where the momey is. Saying that, the state of the console 'war' would be very, very different were GTA4 a PS3 exclusive, or even a timed exclusive.
But don't worry, I'm sure we'll see some really cool stuff with Rockstar's exclusive PS3 franchise.
what on earth are you guys listening to, 'cause in the 1up podcast i listen there's nothing but pure, unbiased opinion. Perhaps if you'd actually listened to the podcast you would have heard them having a go at quite a few 360 games, including Ninja Gaiden II, a 360 exclusive.
I know what you mean. I prefer the feel of the controls on the PS3 version, but all my friends have 360s and on the 360 i can have my own music.

Ah yes, but when the PS4 comes out you'll be able to download every PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 game onto your 10TB hard drive from the Sony Virtual Game store!
lets hope by the time HD-DVD dies, that Blu-ray profile 2.0 will be here and Blu-ray players will finally have the functionality that HD-DVD had from the beginning.

I love GameSages. None of the speakers have any agenda or are fanboys at all, and they get right to the important issues. None of this 'what are you playing' like other pdcasts (not that that's necessarily a bad thing).
But if anything, it's refreshing to have a podcast that can be described as 'high-brow'.
