I think our editor in chief would agree with you. Sadly, he was out-voted.
Battlefield 4 has single player?
(I like to pretend it doesn't... makes me feel better)
I'll be there on launch day, staring at my ugly, black rectangle. As long as it does what it's supposed to, I don't particularly care what it looks like.
Sales don't mean anything. This year's CoD is going to outsell a bunch of games even though it's the worst one ever made.
Also, Metal Gear Solid 4 is plain awful. I'm guessing so many people got it early on because there was nothing else to buy.
I believe the discussion there revolved around gameplay. As a site, we favor gameplay much more than other aspects (graphics, storytelling, etc.). We have some serious concerns about the gameplay in the Last of Us.
Sadly, there are a couple of folks on our site who didn't enjoy it that much (and another couple who played it until they passed out).
TV ads are expensive. You want to run them as close to possible to release as to have maximum effect on those close to a purchase decision. Before that, you tend to focus on free media (game sites) and advertising vehicles with a much wider scope.
That's a really good suggestion. Sony should get out there on that- it'll really smooth things out if players feel they're in control of their own fates a bit.
Try out YDKJ. It's really, really, really, good.
I was really sad KoA didn't go bigger. Poor game had poor timing, being so close to Skyrim.
Would love to see a reworked Mafia. Something done in the same vein as Godfather 2, but, you know... good.
Actually, I write a column called The Strategy Gamer and mostly review strategy games. I did review Call of Duty for another site last year, but I haven't touched it since last November. But thanks for your blatant ignorance about me.
I think I'll keep reviewing strategy games, thanks. I don't think I'll follow any of your comments, as you obviously lack the intellectual capacity to debate things maturely and without insulting others.
Well, I didn't get my review code until release day. Would have been tough to get it up before now- it's a big game with a lot of play.
Have you actually played it? It's pretty good. Also, if you read the review, I do point out the game's issues.
Also, I just looked up the metacritic score (we're not on metacritic btw): 80. If I was trying to raise the score, I'm doing a pretty crappy job.
Perhaps it's time for us to hire more Nintendo fanboys? I mean, we have one, but he's also a GTA fanboy, so he jumped ship on Wonderful 101...
That actually comes up in the article.
Infamous would be a good one. A game like that is perfect for Vita.
Wait... you don't believe that hiding behind a pillar for five seconds will completely heal you of all injuries?
Neither do I...
Nintendo's philosophy is outdated and no longer applicable in a global digital economy. I don't think Nintendo is going anywhere, however, I do believe the company is on the verge of significant and necessary change.
I hope not. I don't think anyone is better off if Nintendo moves away from the console market.
Except for the fact that it was their second consecutive year of showing an operating loss. Meaning as a corporation, the year was a failure (though I'd agree they had some stellar releases).
