IMHO why cod sell well
1- flashy screen announce when u got promoted or achieve a Challenge with music play for 2 second
2- heavy aim assist
3- fast gameplay with low respawn time when u got killed
4- cod community heavily obsessed with k/d lose with high k/d is fine
