It’s way cheaper to create new studios, and develop new Ip’s. Open 3 or 4 new studios(2 in Asia), and create a new team at Sucker Punch and Bend, then get the studios with the good working relationships like Bluepoint. This is a much better option not only from cost, but it also limits the negative feelings from gamers who can no longer play certain games because of exclusivity.

I agree with Sanzaru 100%. The work they did on Sly could easily translate to a Jax reboot as well. Sanzaru have been making vr games, so that would also be a nice fit with Sony as well.

Sony has the resources to make this deal happen. They are sitting on 25 billion in cash and liquid assets.
This actually makes sense for Sony. If this were to happen most T2 franchises would probably remain multi, with exclusive content or timed exclusivity on PlayStation. You could easily see Sony add teams to resurrect old and dead ips that could be future PS exclusives,
The other big get is the movie and tv rights. I’m sure Sony wants to expand in gaming but also needs to compete with Netflix Disney and Hulu. This could add a ton of future tv projects for ps vue, crackle....
