Actually, the price the reviewer states is in Australian dollars, not American, so $60 is correct for here in Australia and the reviewer actually owns the game and didn't just rent it.
Personally I think one of the best controllers was the 6 face button Sega Megadrive controller. Best controller for Street Fighter games I have used. And the Dreamcast controller was great also. But as the article says, the list only includes the best of what the article writer has used.
Yeah, kind of makes up for all the stuff Americans get on live. At least this way we can watch ESPN through our 360's, but not in the cool way the Americans do. It's a pretty good feature for Microsoft to bring to us Aussies. Let's hope it works well.
While perhaps not on Uncharted 2's level, from what I have heard and certainly from what our reviewer has said, it is a good game in its own right. Many have said the demo is not a great representation of the final product, so maybe worth a rent at least.
Actually I don't think it is so much the price of games or the amount of good games out there, I think a big factor in this gen being more costly than the others is gamers need for surround sound systems, HD TV's and now 3D TV's and of course the price of add-ons like Kinect and Move that is raping our wallets of all our hard earned quicker than we can fill them up.
Very good point Agent-86. The motion controls haven't been talked about in terms of RTS games, obviously because of the genres PC roots, but using the motion controls for an RTS might be something that developers should have a think about.
Yeah that's what our reviewer came up with, although he loved playing Starcraft II on his PC, hence his good review score.
I agree with you and that statement in the article. Even Kinect is mainly just another form of the Wii. Sure the extra functions of Kinect are cool, but are they worth parting with your hard earned, especially if you have a Wii? I am mainly interested in Move due to Sony aiming it more at the hardcore gamers with Move support for shooters like Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4. I am keen to try the Move add-on with K3, that's for sure. But as the statement that Omega4 grabbed from the article says, ...
I personally think it is great they released the new 360 for people who are going to buy their 1st Xbox 360, but those of us who have a good working 360 (yes there are some of us out there!) lol, there really is no need to shell out MORE cash for the new re-designed Xbox.
If existing 360 owners could get games as a "Gift" from MS instead of a Free "new" 360 as the article title suggests, how many games would you want/expect??
Good point, but I doubt that will happen either.
Microsoft state you need a Gold Xbox Live account, so silver users won't be able to access it most likely. Other than that it should be available to all Xbox 360 users in Australia that have a decent broadband connection to allow it to work. ADSL2+ would be the best bet for it to work. Whether ISP's will offer unmetered downloads for this particular service is yet to be announced, but Microsoft would be silly not to try and strike a deal with all ISP's as to make it a key feature ...
Hi guys,
I do think this is good news, especially for the people that don't have Foxtel on its own here in Australia. It does seem like Microsoft's attempt to compete with the PS3's PlayTV feature. As to how it will go, it is just a wait and see, especially concerning the pricing structure.
Sport games are awesome and Fifa 10 was better than a LOT of non-sport games released last year. Who cares if they release a new soccer game each year, how many bloody COD games do they want to do and how many different same old World War 2 shooters do you want!
GT5 is pretty much confirmed for 2010 with PD again confirming it is at 90%+ complete. If they end up delaying it to 2011 I think there would be a massive outcry of anger from the PS3 owners who have waited for this game since the systems launch.
Yeah GT5 is definitely the biggest title for the 2nd half of the year for me, if it comes out that is. I am also looking forward to my annual soccer and basketball game updates. Crysis 2 is definitely an interesting prospect also.
Alan Wake is certainly shaping up well and with DLC looking like it will launch not long after the games release and the possibility of Alan Wake 2 coming with 18 months, it looks like Alan Wake may be a key franchise for the Xbox 360.
The package looks good, but may be a bit overpriced. Hopefully it will reduce in price soon after release and us here in Australia can grab 3 pretty good Wii games for a decent price.
Good work mate, hopefully others follow your example and we can make a difference.
Yeah Heavy Rain was a good game. Personally my favorite games this year were God Of War 3, NBA 2K11 and Medal of Honor.
