Far cry 3 was amazing, and I was an addict of the original PC version which I actually thought would never be beaten in terms of that series.
Although it was released last year I would have to say Borderlands 2 is my favourite game of the last 12 months, I HATED at first,gave it a month or 2 break then came back started again with a different class(commando) and have been like a crack head for it ever since!
Infinite was nothing in comparison to the original Bioshock.
You should certainly give Gears a try(I recommend 3) really good fun man, certainly worth getting a cheap 4gb 360 for IMO.
I agree fully, end of 2015 would suit me fine.
I too like judgement's campaign and I like Baird but I constantly wanted to see Marcus and/or Dom,obviously gears ain't renowned for it's story(which is actually really good if you dig a little) but it was the relationships between these guys that made the actual story interesting for me...
I liked Gears 2 campaign best and the online side of gears 3, judgement was really good fun(over run and survival in particular) but I don't think I need more of that, not for a long while anyway...
In-case you hadn't noticed, mainstream media is the most self respect lacking, fickle industry in the world, Of-course "any bad press" will be forgotten,it's no different than RROD, sure it cost them well over a billion but they put it right and the mainstream media doesn't even remember it happened in the first place.
I don't know if Microsoft will "roast" PS4 but it WILL do miles better than all the fanboys on this site think, One thing Microsoft do is big budget advertising like no one else, when we get to October you'll barely be able to look at a single piece of media without having X1 campaigns greeting you...

I too have been playing since the C64 days, but alot of my friends are gamers too, perhaps not to the same extent as me but gamers non the less.
I do still meet people who say "games are for kids" and to them I just point out the fact that I would rather be using my brain than sat in front of a mindless TV show having my brain numbed, that not to say I dont enjoy the odd mind numbing TV show! FAMILY GUY RULES!

As far as unbiased gamers go(guys like me who own both consoles) I think you would have difficulty finding someone who genuinely believes the PS3 controller is better than the 360 controller,especially in the FPS genre...
If MS wrote you a cheque for $1000 you would still bum Sony.
