well it was the only great game on the original xbox.........the xbox had no games. what else where they to play?
folklore was actually pretty fun....... loved yanking the souls( or is it id) of the folk with the sixaxis......fun game, im picking it up.
this game has some truely great acting, i showed my GF the unlocked videos( the story videos explaining the missing parts along the way) and she really felt bad for the relationship between BOHAN and ROACH. i kid you not she almost got teary eyed at the end when.....well you know what happens to BOHAN and who rolls into the scene at the end. good acting.

HALO didnt have that hook to keep me playing the way i was playing GEARS when it was released. no doubt HALO is a fun game but in no way is it ever going to be played to death the way GEARS has been played on my 360.
