great write up but there doesn't seem to be a conclusion to the piece. You just worte, what we all knew. I was exepcting some sort of ending.
Re the Vita, it's such a shame. Technically it's a flipping marvelous piece of kit. In Japan it's doing well, just no where else. I'm the author of this article, and it's great to see so many varied comments about this subject.
The point i was trying to get accross was, yes some games have fantastic mechanics that never get dull, but others don't. If dev's put as much time and thought into a good story, it wouldn't matter as much if games were a grind as the story would pull you through the "grindy" bits, example Destiny.

i know this is going to sound very odd, but i think sales figures are misleading. Hear me out.
As a duel console owner myself its HIGHLY noticable that my XB friends are far more active than my PS4 friends are. More and more of my PS4 buddies are just not gaming, finding other things to do, or simply letting the PS4 gather dust, because we're all waiting for a killer PS4 exclusive to excite us again.

As a duel console owner ( PS4 and Xb1 ) i bought both with an open mind, but have to say hand over fist, the Xb1 is getting stronger far quicker than the PS4 is. I can't even play a cd on my PS4 FFs! PLus as of yet there is no must have PS4 exclsuive game yet, and doesn't look like anything will come any time soon. Xb1 side though there are plenty of cracking top titles.
Digital is the future, but they have to find a way of reducing the prices, otherwise people will just go where it's cheapest, and that's physical. It's as simple as that.
