Don't forget that you'll have to pay early termination fee if you cancel the contract. Basically, you'll have to pay the full price one way or another, which is roughly $40 higher than buying a separate bundle and LIVE subscription.
I actually find Uncharted quite easy to platinum as well. Just remember that unlike the console versions, you need to go through all the new game plus under the same save file otherwise the stats won't accumulate.
The current PS3 firmware won't let you view VITA trophies on the console, but they do count and add to your user lvl.
Just platinumed this last week. Among all Uncharted games, this is arguably the hardest to platinum due to the amount of collectibles. Some even require hours of farming. There are also a couple of very hard stages in crushing difficulty. All in all it's a great game with lots of stuff to explore.
They're using the CPU clock rate as a direct benchmark for computing power. This comparison is as accurate as comparing people's IQ based on their height alone.
Peak CPU clock rate has been stuck at around 3GHz for almost a decade. Are you telling me that a decade-old Pentium 4 is as powerful as the latest Core i7? (Thay have the same clock rate!!)
I don't have a Wii and I never actually had a chance to play it, but based on the comments I read from Japanese and Taiwanese forums, Xenoblade does seem to be one of the deepest JRPGs this generation both in scale and in game play.
JRPGs (or RPGs in general) are not meant to be flashy and eye-pleasing for viewers, but to engage the one who actually plays it.
Unfortunately, just like 99% of all other electronic products it's most likely going to be made by Taiwanese companies with factories based in China, so technically it's still MIC.
If it's good for the gamer, than why not? It's not like they are violating your patent or something. Motion control in general are just public domain knowledge, the detail is in how you actually implement it.
This is likely true, only with one slight detail lost in translation: It's gonna be a new version of PS3, not PS4.
You see, SONY has just started to break even with PS3. It only makes sense for SONY to keep the PS3 in the market as long as possible to recoup the initial loss. This news is very likely related to a revised PS3 (think PSONE) which features new SoC, reduced bulk and power consumption, and most importantly, reduced production cost with much higher margin. T...
Even if they figured this out long ago, they wouldn't talk about it since it's bad PR when they are still trying to sell the PSP. Now that the dust has settled and the focus shifts to PSV I think it's only appropriate that these guys give some perspective on their lessons learned. And I'm actually quite surprised about Yoshida's honesty.
The biggest flaw IMO is the use of the outdated resistive touch panel. The lack of multitouch and precise control (as with a capacitive touch panel) will greatly limit its usefulness as a tablet device.

These are Japanese sales numbers aligned by launch date. You could argue that the earthquake had adverse effect on 3DS sales, but that doesn't explain the continued high PSP sales numbers. No matter how you c...
DSi XL = DSi LL in Japan
It's been out for a while, so your point is?
Here's another scan

Your claim does make sense, but how do you apply the "number of reviews" theory to explain the shift from pre-2009 (multplats on 360 have higher scores) to 2009 (the opposite, though just slightly)?
It's a waste of time to argue around absolute score averages, but the "trend" of these averages does indicate that multiplat games on the PS3, on average, are improving in quality (using the 360 counterparts as references).
That probably no one knows right now. It's gonna be interesting to see how sony approaches this issue next week.
One possible (but lame) way I can imagine is to have you mail in your UMD physically in exchange of a specific download code, given that the title is available in the PS store.
It looks like the devices are sized based on their screen size relative to each other. It's not official, but probably not too far off either.
Notice that these pics are only the top and bottom "covers". These could be leaked from the assembly line (see the white latex gloves?) If these really are from the assembly line, it could be aiming for a June or July release, which coincides with a possible E3 announcement.
Still dubious, but I would say it MIGHT be real.
In the famitsu interview the producer actually commented on these aspects.. The battle music/victory music are not included in the demo for some reasons. Hopefully they'll be good in the final version.
I haven't played P5 yet of course, but P3 and P4 are both very, very good. The highlight is absolutely the stories and characters. Over the course of these games, you will genuinely care about the cast (and not just the playable characters, the stories of some NPCs are very well developed too!). The story and conclusion of P3 was so deeply emotional, that even today when I listen to the BGM I feel warmth and nostalgia unlike any other games I have experienced.
So to me I play ...
