Looking forward to seeing how the game performs once the reviews roll in. The title looks promising so far though.
I think regardless of what the console's called, if the technology inside the box is good and the games library is up to the task, hardcore gaming crowds aren't going to reject the console.
On the other hand, the casual gamers are the ones that would be so fickle. If Nintendo still want to keep up their family-friendly appearance, they're going to have to run with a name and a brand that sucks ass from a hardcore POV, but still invites parents to buy their child...
I don't really have a problem with the review; it seems like a fair assessment of the game and the final score is not negative - people seem to forget that 5/10 is average and therefore 7/10 is quite a competent score.
I thought I'd respond to this because I was disappointed to see people slating Jason's review. I don't really care for any of the comments that aren't giving any constructive criticism, it's all quite pathetic, yet hilarious, that people are getting so upset over the review.
I don't want to sound like I'm repeating myself, but I would like to confirm once more that it wasn't like we intended to get this attention - otherwise we would've submitted the review to some social news ...

Clicking Archive only shows a non-paginated list of the past few months, and there's a search to find anything that's dated older than that. We have a lot of reviews that aren't online too as with this itteration of the site we re-worked the whole database and we've not finished building a 'retro' sec...
I did say we're a small site; but I also said it's clearly not a way of getting hits.
You may have noticed that there's no ads on the main site, there's no financial gain to be had in having visitors come to the site, we don't check the visitor stats regularly or have any ways of promoting the site (we don't even have 'digg this' buttons, or third-party 'share this site' links).
If there was a regular readership of ten people, we'd still be writing and publishing...
