Yeah PS3 is region free, I happen to agree they do treat the Australia consumer unfairly.
The one thing I do find a bit annoying is how much they charge games. A great example is Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. It cost $120 at most retail stores (EB games) which is fine but it is $47 AUD more then US pays.
An increase in price is fine for shipping but it works out to about $40 USD more.
I have no interest in buying this.
I brought half life 2 and half life episode one, and have no interest in buying them again just to get Half Life 2 episode 2.
I just get annoyed with this marketing crap. TF2 looks good, portal doesn't interest me much.

I'd say playstation far more than xbox, mainly because xbox has a very strong line up this coming holiday with mass effect, halo, Bioshock. As well as the cheaper price will probably contribute to better sales.
Sure playstation has a good line up, I just think the xbox is better for now. Next year will be a different story...
P.S. before you say I'm a fanboy I have a PS3 and this is one of the games I was looking forward to most

I think a price cut is nice, but I really need games on the system. Sooner rather then later. I'm getting tired of waiting for them to be released...

Agree / Disagree...its all the same, Xbox is just a better deal at the moment and even with a price cut its still 100 more then the xbox elite, with some hard hitting games...its going to be harder ...
I'm getting a little sick of getting inferior games when I folked out $1000 on a console. It probably is the developers but still, the supposed awesome power and graphics of the PS3 have to show. There no games out there apart from motor storm which I would consider next gen.
