But the series wasn't broken just in the last 15 minutes. Yes, that invalidated the story and pissed off a good amount of fans, but the series has been moving away from RPG elements to become a pure shooter. Bioware admitted that they focused too much on the action in ME2. In ME3, they reduced the choices on the wheel (most times you would only have 2 choices) and there was a lot of auto-dialogue, which kinda makes the whole "this is your story" pointless. Bioware isn't what...
Bayonetta 2 was cancelled. Nintendo stepped in to save it. And you're mad?
Then get a Wii U if you want to play it so badly.
Agreed.
HEY! It only had 9 AND A HALF hours of cutscenes!!
Joking aside, I do agree. I really don't like MGS2, but after watching Movie Gear Solid 4 on Youtube, I really didn't get why people call it the greatest game ever.
Which two are the third party characters?
Don't worry. I agree with you. Complex issues are fine, but that shouldn't be the only thing that you're focusing on.
There's a balance. If the game isn't fun then why would anyone play it? It's nice to have a deeper meaning, but you can't disregard fun for it. That's something I don't think David Cage understands. He's focused on emotion, rather than an enjoyable game experience or something that makes sense. I like games that try to do something deeper, but I think Heavy Rain failed on that. It had the potential, but the story was rife with plot holes that were rather blatant. A...
No, you can't be right all the time. But is it too much to ask for him to be right some of the time?
If there's one thing that I want Nintendo to do, it's to secure rights to HD remakes of Shenmue 1 and 2, maybe even in a bundle. That right there would sell so many Wii U's.
Don't blame the studio for all of the changes. The gameplay updates were welcome (especially shooting in first person), and they wanted to do everything in the cutscenes like the original, but Kojima told them to go over the top.
You do realize that it's the same people, right?
@NathanExplosion
Actually no. Some characters were voiced by different people, but they had voiced other characters in the original. David Hayter gave up half his paycheck to get everyone back.
@Inveni0 Sony doesn't develop games. What they do is buy studios to make games exclusively for their consoles. Valve is a software company as opposed to Sony, which is mostly a hardware company. The comparison is a little off.
The guys who made Rareware awesome back in the day don't work at Rare anymore. They all left. That's why Perfect Dark Zero was crap. It's just some development studio now. Nintendo would be better off just getting the rights back.
THANK YOU! Someone who knows about the manga and Samus' characterization.
The Wii U will not retail for 599 US dollars. That's all I know.
I wouldn't sell The Last of Us short yet, but I do agree with Uncharted. I'm tired of the "real" games where it's just shooting people. I'm sick of people praising Uncharted for anything other than it's graphics and (sometimes) gameplay. It's not the Holy Grail of video games.
I actually like fun games that don't have exact reasons for everything. I played Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy recently (funnily enough, another Naughty Dog ...
I thought about reading this, but with Goku as the picture, I won't. Goku is manga/anime. He's NOT a game character. That's sort of a thing for Smash Bros. They have to be a video game character and they have to have been on a Nintendo console before.
I don't hate it for the reasons listed. I hate it for dragging out a story longer than it should have been. Really, we didn't need anything past MGS4. I hate MGS4's story for a lot of reasons, but it wrapped up the story. The world was at peace. Then LOL CYBORGS!!
I just can't take the game seriously. And after Raiden's character got over being an angst fest in 4 he goes back to killing....I'm sorry, but hasn't Raiden's character already been d...
