This has inspired me to get the game and have a play. I know a few devs interested in ios game creation so this Making of is right up their alley too. Cheers!
Didn't radiohead make a game too?
Not yet. Might do so. I noticed that the new Watch Dogs game (XboxOne) has some similar features to Republique with the switching between cameras and hacking etc. Wonder who came up with the idea first
I loved playing Monument Valley. Wish it was longer though. Still haven't finished Device 6. Might go and finish it. I remember enjoying it. Will have to check out the others for sure.
Love that this can be done. When I am sick, all I want to do is veg and play games. This means I can do it in bed with my head on a pillow. Success!
That sucks. Unfortunately the big guys that have the budget have taken over the app store with their "free" games. Has created a user base that is inclined to want something for initially nothing. Maybe that is the key. If these devs were able to put out a free version that gets a player to a point where they initiate a review and small charge to get the full version, they might be able to continue offering premium and far superior games
That's hilarious. I want
Yay then. My kid is obsessed with minecraft and trains
Never played it. Does anyone know if it is kid friendly?
Well that sounds pretty Ace. I guess they would have to be games specific though, considering so many games have now been designed for touch?
Interested to try some of these. Thanks for the list guys. Anyone played Hitman Go? Not many talking about it on twitter or the like
Yeah the first one was pretty swell. This one looks just as good, judging by the video.
ZOMBIE SHARKS! Enough Said
Reminds me of that cartoon, Happy Tree Friends. Cutesy murderen' time!
Super Adventure Mega Quest might end up stealing some of my precious hours of life on this earth I thinks.
I think the Biosis trailer is lurvely. Nice tunes too. Anyone played it yet?
I love table tennis IRL. This trailer is epic (for table tennis)and now I must play! Looks like it lends itself to the touch model quite well too.
I don't know how so many of you got from this article that the writer hates console or PC?? I think some of you have gone off topic.
What I got from this is that as gamers, we should try to support up and coming industries rather than sh$t on them.
I totally agree that the mobile/tablet games that get the most attention and flood the App Store & Play Store ranks are crap money making creations by large organisations trying to make a buck.
H...
I agree Am_Ryder. I have been really getting into the iOS Indie Gaming scene lately and can't believe the quality of some of these games. Mobile gaming, if anything, is a door opener for devs that want to contribute to the gaming world. Unfortunately they don't have the $$$ to back them up for console or PC releases. I say, if you want to support the actual game developers, then mobile is a great way to start.
Any relation to the other popular ios game Order Up?
