Well I've had one from launch, been a Plus member for over a year and bought many, many games (full retail and download) and received no voucher. Makes me think it's random. Or maybe they see me blow a lot of money in the store and figure I don't need it...
I bought one at launch but never turn it on. I beat Mario U and was done. Lately I've had an itch to play Mario 64 again, but will wait to see if they release it in HD on Wii U's virtual console.
Vita had one of the best launches in the history of console launches, as far as game line up. I had fun with it initially, but then got bored at the loss of momentum.
I hope they pull an Apple instead and release it the same week they reveal it.

The PS3 is going out with a bang here. They have a strong line up this year leading into the launch of PS4. PS4 will have a lot of momentum for this reason. I just hope it is backward compatible.

I'm usually a multi-plat guy, but time and money are becoming scarce for me lately. For this reason, I will be only buying PS4 initially because of all the free PS Plus content. I have so many free games downloaded on my PS3, it could keep me busy for months without ever buying a game if I wanted to. Such a good deal.

I'm rooting for Sony. This could save their asses. I want to see a return to the PS2 days! I'm no fanboy - I own all 3, but why would you want to see the competition wiped out?

Wii U is going to be just fine once the first party franchise games start rolling out. PS4 will be an overall better experience for me personally, but that doesn't mean I can't own both (which I will). Wii U will probably see sales similar to the GameCube IMO.
For me, my fav was SNES, but I was born in 79. Lots of great systems through the years and PS2 was definitely among the best. Sad to say goodbye.
That doesn't mean there aren't games worth playing on it. Mario and Zombie U are fun and I downloaded Nano Assault which is really good too. Give it a chance you son of a gun!
I almost agreed with what you said until you got to the part about Mario not being fun and Nintendo sucking. They've just changed their target audience a little. There are still good games to be played on their systems, but I wouldn't want it as my only console. It too grew up on Nintendo and have the same memories... I'm 33.
