EA is not a developer, they are a publisher. There is literally no reason why they would hold off releasing it this year.

You're comparing a game that hasn't come out yet to a game that came out last year. That's hardly fair.
The console doesn't exist yet. It could be a VR only console for all we know, come back when you have something concrete.
I play on consoles and I prefer them due to their simplicity, but I don't feel that PC gamers should be punished for this. I don't care about graphics personally and I find the whole 1080p over 60 FPS to be nothing short of a joke but if you can make it look better on another platform then do it. No one is going to buy an expensive set up purely because it looks slightly better on one than the other. If you are one of those people then you are a fool.
I would say a poorly made campaign is a waste of money, if you're going to make one, make it good. Some of the best FPS campaigns I've seen are Halo Reach and Black Ops 2 because they incorporated a deep story into the madness of a battlefield.
