The old OLED was introduced way back in 2004. Fundamentally, no substantial differences between the OLED and AMOLED, but huge difference to Super AMOLED or S-AMOLED+ in 2011.
Wait and see mode too here... BATTERY always a concern to me, especially for such a hi-spec mobile gaming like PSVITA. It's just stupid for handhelds if you have to plug it on wall for long gaming sessions. IF it can stand more than 3.5hrs of continous playing (my minimum standard) then i'll get this baby eventually.

Everybody knows it's a downside of being 'exclusive' to one console, without aggressive marketing ADs (e.g.GT5,Halo). If only it were a multiplat then more ppl would recognize it. It's great only in the eyes of specific gamers, not ALL gamers. But their opinions still disagree, as shown below.
Agree, it's a mandatory peripheral for non-casual gamers only Disagree, cuz it's not practical, so much for a new traditional portable gaming system - external battery is lame, so no day 1 buy!
A multitasking OS on multicores on top of 3G/WiFi sounds more like an alarming sign, battery is the best enemy of those. Plugging it on wall or ext. batt will be enforced to gamers who like to play sleeping hours.
VOTE Now: Agree, external battery is a must. Disagree, becuz the external battery means more money along with the exclusive memory card.
Pricey exclusive memory card and un-replaceable 3-5hrs battery has already been a downer, if Flash can't make it to the Vita then it will upset many fans. Perhaps sony still pondering wether flash can be a battery/resource drainer, let alone multitasking on top of 3G/WiFi. Vita's features still up to date regardless.
