They should have patched this thing and got rid of all the glitches WAY before they released DLC. They could care less how glitchy the game is as long as people d/l DLC and Epic makes more $.

Matchmaking is fast now, but probably because I get stuck with 3 on 5's all the time. Maybe 30% of the time it's a 5-5 at start.
Another reason the ranking system sucks. If your not partied up with a team of 5 that's good then most likely you'll get a loss and rank down. I don't even know how many games I've played where I went 15-3 and got a loss. Ranks should be on individual stats, not team wins.

The smoke grenades are annoying and cheap, the ranking system sucks (only 5 ranks, I was a rank 4 until the host quit one game and now I'm back to a 3), the host advantage is still terrible, the chainsaw is stronger, and the new hammer of dawn sucks unless your playing on Day One. Gears online sucks... here's why:
a) More glitches then any other game I've played
b) Host advantage
c) Can't play ranked with your friends
d) Ranking system is based on how many games you've played, not true-skill

wow people are retarded. For one it wouldn't say "LCE". It would just say "Mass Effect". Secondly you can see the Halo 3 service record on the left side, that doesn't even show up unless your playing Halo 3. And thirdly, no achievements for the game... you would think he would of gotten at least one.
Half the people (including myself) who bought a PS3 bought it only for a blu-ray player and will never buy a game or an accessory for it. Sony's going to lose lots of money on me haha.

I love how companies release crappy games and then rely on patches to "clean the mess up". This should have been corrected BEFORE the game was ever released. The worst would be EA Sports, especially all the glitches like the pause glitch in Madden 08.

Stupid product, you can get 1080i and 1080p out of component.
Blu-ray is better, plain and simple so it will win. Holds more data per disc. Plus 100gig blu-ray's are coming out and only a firmware update will be needed for current players.

That's pretty bad that you have to disable all those features and change all those settings just to make the ps3 run better..... never had a single issue with my 360 and all my settings are on default.
The PS3 will be around till 2012.... because you'll only have about 80 games by then.

There is no way this game will be released on time :( It will take at least 1-2 weeks to manufacture the game once the code is completely done. Plus all the final testing that needs to be completed once the code is done. Sounds like they are about at the same spot as GTA4. Probably won't come out until March :( What pisses me off is that they just now inform us of these issues. If I would of known this I would not have paid for the game in full last week as a pre-order.
Just put the game on 2 DVD's, I don't see what the big deal is. The map would be on two DVD's and you could still roam freely without changing discs. You just have to change discs when your halfway through the campaign.
