@BattleAxe
That sounds really arrogant of you. It's obvious that the Wii U isn't selling well, but it's not a commercial failure if Nintendo makes money off of the Wii U, and that is still certainly possible (look at the Gamecube for example)
Nintendo will have to keep supporting the wii u until they are ready for their next console which won't be until 2016 or 2017. This is because of how much money they have spent on it already, and how much...
Hey, entertainment falls under quality of life (technically). So this could be it....
But it's most likely not.
Weird how Nintendo has the biggest space. Hope that means many, many new games.
Sony's space is even smaller than Microsoft's...which is worrisome since they have both PS4 and PSV games to show off. They probably will have less demos/booths...Hopefully that doesn't mean less announcements though!
Salvaged looks really cool. This is the type of thing that Nintendo should've been doing with the gamepad.
It's not AT E3 the physical location, but the Digital Event is obviously associated with E3.
But you get the point. Most people will refer to the digital event as part of E3 anyway.
It's all perspective. In the end, it comes down to which kind of games you like more, not how many big announcements are made.
It's out like 11 days before E3.
Totally thought of batman when reading your comment:
it's the system seller the wii u deserves, but it's not the one it needs right now.
Actually, Wii U needs it though.
For comparison's sake, Mario Kart Wii scored a 6 and Double Dash a 5. So they don't usually praise Mario Kart games like this. Except for MK7, which they loved.
There's a lot of variety, I would just like to believe they are rating each game for what it is.
Never heard of fire red/leaf green or heart gold/soul silver? Those sold like crazy. And fans have been demanding a ruby/sapphire remake for a while.
you're pretty narrow-minded.
Heres some more ideas:
Make great games that people want to buy
Start establishing GOOD relationships to 3rd party devs. The "weak console" argument that third parties use is somtimes invalid (b/c the games are going to PS3/xbox360), it's Nintendo's job to go to 3rd party companies and get them to port games over. The deals with SEGA and Platinum were good, do more of that.
Why give up on hardware when they still have the 3D...
Why is this under news? Shouldn't it be under opinion?
Angry kirby is still cute though...
It's not overpriced if its selling at a loss.
If you play games that don't use the wii u gamepad, is it still a gimmick? Think of motion control/ second screen as an alternative fun option, rather than a forced gimmick. There are games where you just use the pro controller.
I mostly use the gamepad as a regular controller and don't do any of the motion/second screen stuff, so it doesn't really feel like a gimmick (except when I use it as a TV remote) ...
It's not a direct. It's a digital event. I think there is a reason they didn't simply call it E3 Direct. It's probably going to be different than a regular direct.
Is it weird that I'm even more excited for Nintendo's E3? I mean, I can't go to E3, so if they're streaming everything online live, I can actually watch it live for the first time ever.
At first the article is like like both didn't have games at launch except for the few that weren't pushed back...but then the article goes on to say that actually the PS4 did have games so that's the difference! :/
Though the point about some exclusives being pushed back is pretty valid. I don't agree that the PS4 is worth buying for just indie titles though. PS4 is worth it for the exclusives, both first and third party ones! (Same with Wii U minus 3rd party)...
"no one can accuse Nintendo of neglecting 'sequels'"
f zero and starfox would like to say hi.
Wii U version will play better so I'm getting that one.
Also, it will probably get exclusive modes as well
Plus, I don't really have money to spend right now, but I save/spend more as holiday season approaches cuz sales.
Mario Kart is coming out before the 2 year mark, and that outsells Zelda, Pokemon, and Metroid...
They also put a Donkey Kong Country game on the system, and the previous one outsold all 3 Metroid Prime games combined.
They put Zelda Wind Waker on the console, an HD remake yes, but considering the current development cycle of a Zelda game, the earliest the new Zelda would come out is in 2015, so at least they put a Zelda game. And they are pushing out a Zelda...
