Good solid action game, very tempted to buy PS3 for this, but one *great* game is not enough. Bit worried about the deriative of Gears/TR comment. Although what isn't these days?
The story sounds fantastic and I am sure the visuals are going to win awards. Exciting time to be a gamer, huh?
Have been testing Win7 for several months, prior to installing at business. Given 4gb of ram and use of the 64bit version: installed on medium spec PC's, has given these machine another five years use.
Startup from power-on is blisteringly fast and the look and feel is ... elegant.
To the quote above regarding vista, its initial launch was blundered only by the peripheral manufacturers refusing to update their device drivers. By service pack 2 it is reliable enough, but...
An actual factual preview: great. Rather than that rather sorry bullsh*t review from gamewire.
Halo needs to regain its crown after three's misstep (it felt like a sequel/part2 of halo2 rather than the conclusion to a world beating trilogy).
Looking forward to the Firefight mode as GOW2 Horde mode has become a little stale. Love the idea of vehicles in Firefight.
Am looking forward to the open-world in ODST, which kinda reminds me of the original l...
Ok let's talk about the 54.2% figure you guys are bouncing around. I understand that this has come from Game Informer (print) magazine survey and is known as a 'biased' study. Oddly the article has vanished from the online version of Game Informer.
Let's firstly understand that those of us who have not had the RROD are unlikely to have responded to the survey, meaning only the limited readership of the mag have recorded votes on hardware failure. Take into account the massive i...
A rather hastily arranged tech demo of Sony motion controller was presented.
Looked like NATAL but you need to wave/grip a dildo.
Natal / Lionhead demo was very impressive. The 'thrown' item and paper scanning was something very special. I appreciate how hard it is to pull those things off during a demo, so understand why that part was pre-recorded.
In summary: excellent and innovative stuff. The bar has most definitely been raised. Will be watching the Sony pre-show with interest, but expect to see only sequels - nothing innovative.
Just had an email from MS, advising to watch the press conference at 6:30pm BST on xbox.com as all will be revealed.
Looking forward to playing L4D, fancy joining? oh that's right.
Guys you have been promised another platformer circa 1998, and we all know how well the last one did. Or another tired MGS sequel featuring your favourite (naked) blonde raider. No wonder you feel all tingly and special.
The advertising of this game has been inept. Which is a shame. However, this has nothing to do with Microsoft or their glorious joybox.
So what the goodness are (some) of you talking about? A MS colluded media conspiracy? Get a grip, the self-conscious Sony Defence Force does not need to be mobilised for this story.
oh boy, the article mentioned the recession proof gaming industry, contributing millions to the economy. But this tired IT-skills-free cabinet/government should be discussing tax breaks for UK game developers.
I get the point about the perils of a sedentary life style. But do we really need these people to insist. I would have preferred them to have kept a careful watch on the banking industry, and not squander our pensions and future.
Oh guys, just go play your new game.
We 'xbots' are delighted that you *finally* have a pretty/solid selling/popular game. We were all a bit worried when the video was pre-rendered (not mentioned here much curiously), but it all worked out. Microsoft are gearing up for a few exciting announcements, maybe KZ2 has woken them up, maybe not.
My question is shouldn't you be playing KZ rather than self-consciously crowing on a MS related post. All the comments are the...
Single player is Slick but monotonous, what about a bit of variation in the helg?
So you remember to pick it up next time. It should not be considered any more reliable as a source than the national enquirer.
There is a lot of petty crime in london (like most major cities) and happily a lot of us don't live there anymore. In GTA5 I would like to experience a pixellated version of visiting soho, getting trollied and dropping wallet/phone/dignity before stealing a cab home. It might be slightly cheaper than the real thing.
London also has a liv...
