I'm excited about all on-disk DLC!

Well that is a good thing. It means that this game will feel fresh and exciting. It will be a completely new experience while playing it.
Something you don't find easily anymore.
They are saying that now because of TVii, but if they were truly an entertainment company, they should have allowed at least to play DVDs con the Wii.
They could take on Apple if they start offering IOS app to play exclusively on the Wii U Gamepad. People will gladly buy Angry Birds or that sort of games to play while in the bedroom, or while going to the bathroom and then resume their gameplay afterwards.
I agree with you. If I can recall, Ocarina of Time was the first game to include an "all purpose" button. (A). You could perform several task with the same button (open chest, doors, etc). Miyamoto said that contextual buttons were going to be the future, and he was right. But it has passed from being able to do more than one thing with a button, to have the game perform a lot for you with it.
A game being causal is defying the purpose of gaming. I usually compare ...
I am pretty sure I read that that article was debunked. On the other hand, DLC is a virus for the gaming industry. Whether is on disk, or not, developers now plan the game with DLC in mind, and deliberately cut stuff from the game to put it as a DLC. What difference does it make if even before production starts, they decide which things will be DLC?
People can blame Capcom all they want, but every company does that. It's just that Capcom don't have shame to show it. ...
Ask yourself this: If you like God of War for its violence and action, and then Sony decide to make a sequel being a puzzle game about unicorns and rainbows would you still buy the game?
Maybe the game about unicorns and rainbows is great by itself, but as a God of War game would be a total disrespect for fans of the franchise. Developers need to understand that when they create a franchise, they need to respect what made that franchise popular in the first place. It is good ...
Because of the Vita. They could have easily called it PSP 2 and keep the tradition, but they chose not to. The same will happen with the PS4. There is no way they will call it PS4, because of marketing strategy.
Also, if MS names the next Xbox with some number, like Xbox 8, it would make the PS4 "lesser". That's the same reason MS didn't name the Xbox 360, Xbox 2.
My guess is that it will call Xbox 8 to go along Windows 8. If not, it might be called Xbox Play or something like that which unifies MS line up of gadgets.
Definitely not Xbox 3, because of PS4. Even thought I am 100% the next PS won't be called PS4, but PS (something).
Even if they are small games (more suitable for iphone) it's pretty noticeable that developers are really supporting the 3DS.
I wish Vita had the same support. It's an incredible system, but somehow seems like developers and publishers don't care that much about it. Maybe it is because the development costs are higher for the Vita than the 3DS?
People tend to relate developer support with market share, but at one point the 3DS was new and had no ...
I can see a Resident Evil RPG work. It could actually be interesting.
I think a lot of people didn't even realize it was the ending until the credits started to roll. It was just incomplete.
At least there will be Killzone 4
There is a good chance that the game could be announced for the Wii U. They haven't announced consoles officially, so everything is possible. Obviously not as an exclusive though.
I hope that physical games don't disappear next generation at least. I like to have the box with the manual and the disc. Also, selling the digital version at the same price is disappointing. They don't incur cost of packaging, shipping, and retailers. They should be at most $50.
I fear that if games become all digital, publishers and developers will abuse, just like it has had happened with DLC. They will start implementing any restriction they want, like being onli...
I suppose just for PS+ members
I think it's a good strategy to begin selling the Wii Motes. That way people will be more aware of the brand and will start asking about the new console. By the time it releases more people will know about it, and increase the chance of selling more.
The box is branded with the Wii U logo, but the Wii motes themselves are the same. Nothing has changed, so of course the will still work with the Wii. It even say so on the box.
I also wanted to wait to play it on Wii U, but I'm glad I didn't. I didn't find it as good as the first one story wise. The game is fun to play and much longer, but the first one feels more entertaining.
I prefer to play Assassin's Creed 3 on the Wii U though.
I am in the beta and I didn't like it at all. The controls are different, and it doesn't feel like Ratchet & Clank for some reason. It has something that makes it different, but can't point it out. It feels like empty or small, IDK. I played 2 days for 3 or 4 hours each, and decided to abandon it. (Sorry for the people that wanted in and I just wasted it)
Microsoft needs to improve their first party offering so much. They can't rely on third parties anymore.
Sony has a good balance, but needs to work very much on marketing and third party relations so that they are not in a position again where they get bad third party ports. Also improve PSN and they need to bring more colors to US and Europe (and Japanese games) people like choice!
Nintendo needs to work a lot with third parties so that they get good gam...
