It's good to know this is just affecting the review code, but if anything, you think you'd save your best code for the reviewers. I mean, those are the guys that are going to influence how other people view your game.
But what are you basing that on? The official data from Microsoft and Sony proves the PS3 is the one dominating. It's been that way for almost 3 years and the PS3 isn't slowing down. The first six months of 2010 alone the PS3 has outsold the 360 by 1.6 million consoles. Are you kidding me. Microsoft and Sony are publicly traded companies. Their sales data is reviewed by third parties and subject to audit. If any company that trades is caught faking their sales data they can be pulled off the market or slapped with millions in fines.

Damn straight. If you take VGChartz seriously you need to take a long look in the mirror and ask why you're kidding yourself. It's fine to make estimates, but VGChartz numbers are completely out to lunch. I mean, they aren't even close when you look at official data, NPD, MediaCreate numbers, numbers from publishers, etc...etc. Estimating is one thing, but VGchartz numbers are usually something like 30% off the data when companies actually bother to release it.

I skipped it, but I'll pick it up now that it's cheaper. I just had a buttload of other games that I was playing and this one kinda fell between the cracks. I need something to replace MW2 anyway. I liked the single player, but the online multiplayer was a mess for me. COD4 was far more balanced, and I stupidly traded it in when MW2 came out. I think I'm pretty much done with COD now. There's too many other shooters clamoring for my attention. Including MAG.
I like the universe they created with Halo. There's loads of stories they could tell, as long as they just don't churn out the same story, same game each time I'll continue to get these. Hell, even if the gameplay doesn't change all that much, I'd still play it for a decent story in this setting. But notice - I said decent.
I loved the first game as well, but I don't know about multiplayer. Maybe I should have a look at the beta and see what they've done. I dunno. Survival horror games are kinda meant to be played alone. Unless I can play multiplayer as a beastie and run around the roofs and stuff like an Alien while people try to shoot off my limbs. Sorry, N4PS3Fanboys. You're wrong. All it takes is a quick check of Sony's investor site to see that they reported shipped PS3 figures for the first six months the PS3 was out, then they switched.

I gotta say, I am surprised there's so much buzz about this already. Look at the top news on the site, everything's all about DMC. I didn't realize it was that popular. I only ever played the first one, skipped the second and the 3rd I rented but it just wasn't my cup of tea. None of my friends ever played this series as far as I know. Wouldn't be the first time Microsoft dumped old consoles on the market for cheap to blow out old stock. Sony to, for that matter. Of course a flood of cheap consoles is going to drive console sales, but just because there's still old 360's out there doesn't mean they aren't the ones behind the sales spikes. We've seen it time and time again. Console modifications aren't what drives sales, price cuts are what drive sales.
