*Knows Sony deals are a trap to spend more money*
Also me: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
I'm really glad hardcore Nintendo fans are hyped for the games they announced, but as an average Nintendo person it was pretty lackluster. I didn't see any BIG reasons to jump back into my Switch. Only thing close was Skyward Sword because I never played it, but $60 for a port that doesn't look like it was improved graphically at all? Maybe I'm just not super passionate about Nintendo, but again, if YOU are super excited from the Direct then hell yea! I hope you have a great t...
I wish I had $1.6B cash available LOL but yea this is pretty interesting. Definitely going to monitor this situation.
One of the biggest, most annoying issues on PS5 resolved! Can't begin to say how frustrating it was that the PS4 version would download alongside the PS5 version and we were unable to manage that properly. About time they fix this.
Right?? I think when we get a new console like this, it should just revert back to like "version 1" and then go from there.
There's over 100M PS4 users/owners out there, it would be a terrible business decision by Sony to virtually lock them out by not still developing games for PS4.
This might be the one time that I'm wanting my bank account to be charged lol hurry up and take my damn money!
I've never used an app for PS or any gaming console really, but that might change. Pretty interested to check out this app when I get my PS5!
Isn't this in the same sense of Taco Bell having the Series X contest? Are people upset at that too?
That was addressed in the article. Phil Spencer said that future Bethesda games appearing on all platforms would be in a "case-by-case" basis. Indicating that some Bethesda games may be exclusive to Xbox only. In addition, the article talks about how Microsoft could be doing something similar to when they acquired Minecraft and simply reap the rewards of Bethesda appearing on other platforms. So I'm confused as to what your comment is suggesting?
Nothing about Anthem really interested me, and with so many bangers about to start dropping with next-gen, odds are I won't ever jump into Anthem. Even if/when it becomes free.
Pete, you make a very good point. One of my pre-showcase predictions was seeing the PS5 UI, and it's honestly a bit puzzling why it wasn't shown. Sony should absolutely be held accountable for not being transparent (thus far, and we're getting pretty close here) about certain console features. However, at the end of the day, I believe what will ultimately persuaded people one way or another are the games. And I think Sony did an amazing job presenting those. But I agree with you i...
I agree that Sony's messaging regarding cross-gen were terrible, but it all comes down to games and I think Sony delivered on that. Of course, not every game is for everyone so I can understand if you expected a bit more, but personally I was blown away by what's on the horizon for PlayStation users in the future. Microsoft is setting the bar for the industry with Game Pass and being able to play "anywhere", while Sony continues to showcase amazing games.
I agree that Sony's messaging behind the cross-gen and pre-orders were absolutely horrible to say the least. Personally, I'm not too upset about the cross-gen, but more so about how poor their PR was during this entire process.
Why was it a poor showcase? Were you disappointed with the games or something else?
At the end of the day, that's how I feel. I'm just gonna sit back, get the popcorn ready, and watch these two go after each other. Eat the rich, right?
I was hesitate at first with Ghost of Tsushima, but wow am I glad I picked that one up! It's probably my current GOTY.
Words of wisdom right here! He's right, games should be relieving your stress, not adding onto it. If you're feeling overwhelmed, take a break.
I didn't have too much issue with the gameplay or story, I thought one time through the campaign makes the game worth it. But the never-ending grinding ugh, and the cosmetic pieces you switch out don't change your look, just really detailed stats that dont make a whole lot of sense. I wish it was a straight ol campaign experience with DLC chapters, not the GaaS train wreck we have now.
