Before Nvidia bought PhysX from Ageia the only way to run those effects(without serious performance issues) were to buy a Physics Processing Unit(PPU) , dedicated card from numerous manufacturers (BFG etc).
Without that PPU games/demos with the PhysX option enabled would run at 5FPS
with dedicated PPU PhysX enabled 30+FPS
So the short answer would be yes.

"The higher gpixels on PC cards is needed for higher rez and AA. Most PC gamers want x4 - x8aa. "
Very true. Seeing though 4K is the pinnacle of resolutions as of typing this, the new Maxwell is still not capable of playing games in 4K resolution(unless powered by any iteration of UE3)

How awfully kind of you Maingear :P
"For the power xboxone has. 13.1 gpixels. They never did bad on it. "
According to that bombshell....looks like the Xbones main contender is the Nvidia Maxwell!
I know what you meant..I'm just being a prick as per usual.
"How does he know those that purchased an XB1 are satisfied?"
Tbh it's not hard to keep tabs on the 300 consoles sold in Japan :P
@ Bloop
400+ (exaggeration, but I'm probably close) variants of Nissan Skyline's and GTR's on Gran Turismo 5. Personally, I find that a piss take.
So hopefully Driveclub will give me a well deserved CAR-FIX I've been yearning for on the PS4.
Like most, I'm waiting for Project CARS...Driveclub will keep me entertained until PCARS is released.
@alb1899
Options are good.... but when those "option...
Hear hear!
And the fact I used my only bubble to deliver my piss weak watered down gravy....even more laughable!
I had that very same feeling about Titanfall.. months prior to release but users here said play the game before you judge.
Don't need to.... I know what I like.
The reason I DO NOT TRUST reviews because
Everybody has slept with Zoe Quinn.
Completely agree with Friedgoat.
I used to be an avid PC ONLY Gamer over two decades of service and enthusiast upgrades.(even though a few users here highly doubt that)
I saw developer support dropping over the years so I decided to jump ship
"- Multitudes of MMOs to choose from like the breathtaking Guild Wars 2 which proves good art direction trumps graphics everytime - Multitude of fantastic RTS games - MOBA games like league of legen...
The Suarez JAWS edition available for preorder NAOS!!
I'm only interested in a couple of EA titles a year...not the viable option for me.
Getting to play EA titles 5-7 days early is not a bonus... considering the "BETA" status of their titles. Shoddy netcode and riddled with game breaking bugs have been going on for many years.
$5 Million dollar lawsuit enSUES!
And if the game does not have true next gen graphics I'm gunna sue for a seven figure sum!

@Dinosaurum...personally, I find MadOnion.. now known as Futuremark (the benchmark peeps) to be the coolest name yet.
@Abriael
Yes I am kidding.

I'm gunna sue Camelot because I'm fucking dumb enough to never guess the correct sequence of numbers for the jackpot.
Keep telling yourself that...you might believe it.
I miss the V8 sound.
I was wondering when Codemasters were gunna pull their finger out. Little disappointing...but at least we'll get to play it.
"Why The Last of Us Remastered Shouldn’t Really Exist"
It does.....get over it you whiny bitch!
Here's me thinking a name and address requirement for a purchase on a packet of disposable batteries(Dixons UK) were a draconian measure.
I can see use of the subject topic...but my example takes the piss.
I'm wondering if the author considered posting pictures of real vaginas to compare them to Metro LL's?
Sigh...we're really scraping the barrel now guys. Gaming journalism's taken a nose dive since PHIL battered Zoe's FISH.
I jest, of course.
