This is probably the most promising video game film yet next to Bioshock. As the one above me said, Mike Newell is the director and while I'm not familier with too many of his films, he seems to be decent. Jerry Bruckheimer is also the producer, so if the movie does end up sucking, it'll at least be 'quality' sucking as opposed to 'low budget' sucking.
Hey, don't knock it till you try it... From what I've heard Henry Hatsworth is surprisingly hyping up to be one of the best DS releases in a while (seriously). Apparently it's like a cross between Castlevania and Puzzle Quest.
That's like saying the Wii is a better console because it makes more money...
Sarcastic Gamer Scoring System = WIN
2 out of 2 stars? Genius!
That's exactly how I feel about this game, and I think it deserves at least a little more credit. Also, in how many other games does it take thousands or even hundreds of thousands of players working together to achieve a single goal? The Moon only took a few days... next stop: Mars!
@ N4PS3G: Typical of you to latch on to this single review, ignoring the suprisingly consistant praise among others :O
I'm REALLY suprised IGN US didn't like Noby Noby Boy. I think the game is a steal at $4.99. :(
I don't care if he likes the game or not, but really? THE most frustrating game of all time? I couldn't disagree more...
In Mirror's Edge it is NOT Faith that is the problem, it is almost always entirely the player's fault at a missed jump or platform. I'm not saying Mirror's Edge was easy (it wasn't). You can call it realistic or too demanding of precision but don't blame the game. While it does take practice, no challenge in this game is too much.
Also, I hate ...
Petz...monkies... oh, goody.
I definately agree with you on Japan's quality control. Japanese developed games usually feel more polished and refined.
Why so critical of the west, Sasanova?
I actually agree with him. If this was a decade ago, I would have said otherwise, but now I think the Japanese are lacking a little, at least in comparison to what their developers used to bring out a while back.
Don't get me wrong, though. There are still a lot of great games coming from Japan. I just believe that Western devs have a slightly greater edge these days.
You always speak so highly of this game, so I think I'll put this on my radar. What separates this from a Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six game? Is it just more realistic?
I saw this show at the Dallas Symphony back in 2007. Seriously, anyone with the slightest appreciation for music in games, or even just music, needs to see this. It's definately worth the price. Tommy Tallarico (Love him or hate him) and Jack Wall really know what they're doing. As a potential music major and video game player, Video Games Live was a total nerdgasm...
People either didn't read it or missed the entire point of the article... -_- It's not really about RapeLay.
Wow! I did NOT see this coming! This just turned into a day one buy for me...
This is why ninjas will always be cooler than pirates.
Where is Soldier of Fortune!? That game made dismemberment mainstream!
Yeah, THIS is the kind of stuff I want to see in Home. I like all these little add-ons that are coming to the service. Very cool!
I can understand why people are upset about RE5's controls, but I think they're just fine. I mean, I don't want Resident Evil to control like any other third-person action game. I mean is that what we want? For EVERY game of a similar genre to control the same? Won't that feel repetative!? I like learning a game's controls, it brings variety for me and helps to make every game a unique experience.
What I don't get is why they didn't already flip out when Manhunt 2 was released...
EDIT: @2.5 I see. I guess they've just been fighting a losing battle this whole time.
