2 Systems? That's it?? WTF Sony!?
Not really sure if they've "bounced back" or if that's just marketing mumbo jumbo to get people to return. I know I'm not the only person out there that hasn't bought one piece of content from the PSN store after they brought the service back. In fact the only games I've bought this year for PS3 is Uncharted 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Personally, I have to think that Sony is hurting badly from people who fled after having our info comprom...
Pixel Junk games are always good. I'll have to try this one too.
I agree with both of you. There isn't an easy solution to the problem. I'm not sure how publishers can combat GameStop without doing what they're doing. You certainly can't prevent people from unloading games they no longer want.
At the same time, games are getting increasingly expensive, and play time seems to be shrinking. The consumers don't seem to be getting the best deal no matter which way we buy.
The issue as I see it is this:
I buy the game new. The publisher gets paid for that one copy. I sell the game back and 10 other people end up buying that same copy through buy/sell process.
The publisher only gets paid for that one game. Not 10 game sales.
As gamers we want fantastic games, but when it comes down to supporting developers/publishers, we think they should be working for free.
Taken to the extreme, you won&...
Just bought my first 360 (Gears 3 bundle) and Forza 4. Picking this up as I wanted to try it, but not for $150.
"Allow us to play the game we paid you for" Right. Except YOU didn't pay the developer for the game, someone else did and now you're expecting to get the special content for free when you aren't even paying full price for the game. You are correct in saying the original purchaser has the right to do whatever they want with it afterwards. Once they sell the copy to another entity however, the new buyer does not enjoy the same rights.
Deception indeed...
Unfortunately, "Game Journalism" and "Honest Review Scores" went out long ago. There have been a lot of games recently with decent to high review scores that were just plain broken and not fun to play.
I apologize you thought I was trolling. Just my honest opinion on the matter from Level 15 trophy card holder, and over 1770 trophies on PSN.
Finally came to my senses and picked up an XBox 360 after all the years of failed Sony hype and empty promises. OMG!! Online gaming that works??!! Simply amazing and wondering why I waited so long. Gears 3, Forza 4... run!! go get them now!!
1) built a brand new engine for the game
They had to, couldn't use the old PS2 engine.
2) have more cars than any other console racer
Right. And only 200 of them don't hurt your eyes.
3) have dynamic weather
This was a very nice feature.
4) dynamic damage system
For all Kaz was carrying on about with damage "being done right" I thought it wasn't don...
Even if these predictions are true, its too little, too late. I waited as patiently as I could for 5 years for what promised to be the best ever iteration of GT. Sadly, there were fewer events, 500% more grinding and fewer tracks than previous games. Should I mention the "standard" (i.e. PS2 level) cars? Sorry PD, but it seems you lost the passion.
It can avoid being terrible by stopping production immediately.
Doesn't really seem to be anything special in there as the cost of Elite is padded into the edition. I'll be getting the regular edition for 360.
Unfortunately with this generation of gaming with Sony, that seems to be the norm. :(
Trophy auto syncing should be pushed to everyone, not just us PS+ members.
No wonder they're rioting over there....
And the tragic part of all of this is the government is going to use all these attacks to legislate and restrict access to the internet.
Short sighted fools LulzSec and Anon are...
Didn't we wait long enough for everything last gen? More waiting. Woo hoo!
