you guys do realize that the only reason people post these doom articles is because you all feel like you need to read it and comment on how wrong it is, right?
Every vehicle should be user-controlled. That's what makes this Battlefield. I was seriously disappointed in BF2 when I found out you couldn't control the ships, and now this AC-130 in BF3. They're slowing stripping away what makes the series so great.
I wish you could actually fly it.. you know, like the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 back in 2003.

it's nice to have a list like this. Couch co-op is great when you're 15, but once you grow up you find your friends on the other side of the nation due to work or family and campaign co-op can be an excellent way to "hang out" still.
i'm sure it will have to be more "accessible"
i can't believe he called Battlefield 1942 a failure..
multiple factors in the drop:
-lack of updates since the Aug. 10th release, which introduced bugs with tent and vehicle saving.
-school/college semester starting
-hackers running rampant
-item duping created an abundance of the most sought-after gear, leaving ppl with not much to do aside from pvp & vehicles repairing (which aren't saving on a lot of servers)

they'd have to compromise too much of what makes the game great..
