definite insecurity
innovation starts on the pc and then years later it trickles down to consoles.
I would love to see that high of a resolution in person.

I'd wait and see how the consoles' recording actually works, how long, what resolution, compression, etc before saying this will be obsolete.

Steam isn't the only way to game on a PC. PC is an open system, and that's why it will always be the last bastion of consumer-friendly gaming.

that's the beauty of it - scalability. You don't have to spend $1000, or $400. You can spend $653.87 and get EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. Nothing less, nothing more.
