Microsoft has made 2 straight years of profits on the xbox 360. They will report 1 BILLION DOLLARS IN NET PROFIT TODAY for the 2009 calendar year. Sony's ps3rd has been a COMPLETE DISASTER and has lost more money than ANY OTHER CONSOLE in gaming history....all for the glory of last place...lol
After losing 5 BILLION DOLLARS on the ps3 and wiping out all of the ps2 profits and almost all of the ps1 profits, they need the money.
Also, xbox live made 1 billion dollars last year. Sony will probably NEVER catch up to xbox live
