I wouldn't pay that much because I would probably open because I want to play it, or to see if there is actually a game in there.
I would take the PS3 Slim and maybe sell my PS3 Slim, or give it to my cousin.
I try to sell my old games online or to an individual. You can get 4 times as much money or more than selling to gamestop or a different retailer.
I just sold an extra copy of God of War 3 for about $27 US dollars on Ebay. Gamestop was only offering $4 US dollars.
Just look what PS3 Slims are going for on Ebay US right now..

$300 is an absolute steal for what you are getting. I hope this is true and it is coming out soon. If so, I will definitely preorder it for the heck of it.

Maybe you will be able to play your PSP2 games/content remotely(or otherwise) with your PS3, rather than the other way around.

If you hear any nonbelievers downplaying KZ3, don't be discouraged, just speedily pwn them by referring them to this video.
Pretty much and since it's OLED, it will probably look better than games on a lot of HDTVs. A crappy HDTV and make even the prettiest game look mediocre, whereas the OLED will make great looking games look unbelievable.
High definition does not always equal high quality.

Either way, to say you are comparing the games and then just talk $#@% about Killzone 3 just looks bad.
I have already played the game and have my copy reserved. People will see how above average this game is in February.
I thought that was a bit weird too karl seeing as how Killzone had jetpacks first.
He also said Killzone gets "average" review scores. I guess a 91 average on metacritic is "average".

Yeah, I think there were around 30k+ playing daily when I was on last month. I'll update my comment in a min after I log onto PSN.
I haven't played in a while so this is a great incentive for me to start playing again. It really is pretty fun.

I will buy the NGP at launch if it is under $400. I do hope it will be cheaper so more people will buy it though. As far as the new DS goes, I don't know if I am willing to spend $250 on it yet and I heard they are still using that AWFUL friend code system.
Yes, I meant Battlefield 3 and it was more like wishful thinking, as I haven't seen it announced yet. However, the system seems capable of running it, games are supposedly VERY easy to port to NGP, and EA+Sony have a pretty good relationship.
I did however see a vid showing killzone, resistance, etc. There should be a pretty high quality Uncharted gameplay vid and more as well...

That silly fanboiish(yes I broke a grammatical rule) comment made me click disagree. But, it sure did make me laugh for some reason. When I'm running Bad Company 3 on this thing without making it sweat, you will want to play too.
If it is truly $300, it will be a bargain compared to the new DS.
I will buy it if it is under $400(because it is worth it), but I want it to be cheaper so that more people can/will buy it.
Yeah, I already saw a video showing killzone and resistance. I expect battlefield BC3(w/ good headphones) to be pretty amazing and sniping is going to rock with the gyrosensor. As far as graphics go, to me, PS3 graphics on a gorgeous OLED are more intense than 3D gamecube graphics on an SD LCD any day.
Uncharted looked gorgeous BTW and people don't seem to understand how awesome the games are going to look on an OLED.

Bad Company 3 is going to be pretty slick on that OLED screen. Also, sniping in killzone, resistance, and bad company 3 is going to be fun with teh gyrosenzor. I bet I can think of ten+ reasons why it will succeed.

People have been buying crap for eons. Even some relatively intelligent people will buy something and never see it's flaws because they were already convinced it was perfect before they bought it.
However, they may get the sense that somethings a bit off, lol.
"Darn, I cant stand this game, but it's so good and my friends are all playing it. I have to keep playing, teh rewards!"
Indeed, there are many other ways to give developers and fans feedback than being snide and nasty. A simple, "We would love to see more variety and levels like this in the future" would suffice.
