In previous generations, the crappy games were cheaper, but they still weren't worth buying! You're paying to much for what you get when you buy #@$@ games. It's pretty simple. Some games are definitely worth the money. Especially works of art with great online features.
Edit: I wont buy used games from devs like Insomniac and Naughty Dog. I buy their games new because they deserve the support.
Why did the Dreamcast drop its price? Did the Dreamcast win the console war?(it WAS a good system) I mean, it's obvious that price isn't the only factor here. That's why Wii sells so well, because people love the novelty/buzz. The price is reasonable enough to let them be impulsive!

PEOPLE WANT WHAT THEY CANT HAVE! If people know the facts about what the ps3 has to offer and they cant afford it currently, they will probably want one even more :] Provided they understand the outstanding value offered. I'm not even being a fanboy, this is the truth. This article is obviously biased. I have noticed a lot of articles like this come out around the time of the price cut. Hmmm, coincidence? pffft!

Nowhere in that BLOG does it say anything about ps3 being a CONSTANTLY upgradable PC. It just says people will use it for it's functions instead of PC. How is buying a hard drive every 5 years "CONSTANTLY UPGRADING". Please explain. Are you talking about peripherals as well, because every console has those!
Anyone without their head up their $#@ will notice that it is looking better and better for the ps3. Sony hasn't even cranked up the marketing for ps3 because they might lose money if it was flying off the shelves. Once it's cheaper to manufacture they will drop the price and really market it. Right now, I have a feeling that they are just getting things ready :x

It is terrible what they did and surely i would slap the sh#t out of them. However, everyone is pointing the blame squarely at them and forgetting other factors that might come into play. Their genetics, their upbringing, the screwed up world, maybe they were molested repeatedly, etc. What caused their mental problems that lead them to do this?
Plenty of places where guns are "legal" and this doesn't happen. Canada for instance has one of the lowest rates of gun related death in the world. If you want to blame gun laws, you might as well blame video games as well. These parents probably should be held accountable for leaving a loaded gun around for their kid to play with.
Edit: Everyone with a brain knows it's silly to blame the game for this. Millions of kids have played halo and so far, this has only happene...
