Although they are both pretty similar after all that hype it's good to see that the Xbox One version comes out better.
I'm getting an Xbox One at launch because it has the games I want and I love the Xbox ecosystem. Despite this I know the PS4 is great designed console and Mark Cerny made a lot of excellent engineering decisions which have been praised by many developers this year. So I was honestly expecting the PS4 to get nearly top scores everywhere. I saw some Brit website gave it 5/5.
But even me with my preference for the Xbox can see that the 7.5 from Polygon is... surprising! LOL...
Me and Adam Sessler share a love of all things Xbox. But as a 'journalist' he is supposed to be objective. So when I hear him downplaying the PS4 on one hand I love it (because gamers have give Sony a free ride this year) but on the other hand I hate it because he is letting his personal preference for the new Xbone affect his professionalism.

I like that the PS4 box has blue at the top instead of clear plastic like the PS3 box has. The oversize DVD boxes for 360 look very dated. The Xbone box looks classy with the embossed logo at the center top. Sadly not included in the comparison pictures because it would make the other boxes cry.

Disk is short for diskette which were magnetic media in a plastic case.

And because many Windows apps are compatible with Xbone there will be a stream of endless games that is much richer than a handful of indie games that PS4 will have.
The Xbox One version of Assassin's Creed IV is technically better than the PS4 version.
It has a 1080p resolution and higher frame rate. But because Sony have money-hatted Ubisoft they have embargoed reviews of the Xbone version because then everyone would know it has the best version of the game.
There will always be bugs in pre-release OS software because it hasn't been finalized. It will have been refined and perfected by the time the Xbone launches and there will be no problems.

As gamers we all like to get wrapped up in the fanboy wars. Whenever I come on here and say something good about Microsoft I'm amazed by how hard I'm flamed - but it's all friendly competitiveness. And despite the rivalry their comes a time when you have to give respect to features of a rival platform.

Hey, I should have expressed myself better. I'm not hatin on the Dualshock 4 it's just that I prefer the stick placement on the Xbox controllers.
I've read a lot of good things about the Dualshock 4 about how its much more comfortable than the DS3 but until I actually get to try it myself I can't actually comment.
AC IV is one of my most anticipated games for the Xbox One but it pisses me off that Ubisoft are prioritizing the PS4 version. I probably won't get one until holiday next year so will be getting it on the Xbone. I prefer the fact that it has a superior controller. But I want to see the best water effects and I feel that Xbone users are getting a sub-brilliant version. Why didn't Microsoft use GDDR5 RAM?

A brilliant feature that allows you to call up help videos whilst you are playing games. No need to look for walkthroughs on YouTube. Genuinely useful, this is a gamechanger. It's only possible because the Xbone can multi-task because of it's multiple operating systems, but is impossible on the single OS PS4 and Wii U.

Sony adjusted the price of the bundles because of more favorable exchange rates and Amazon.co.uk is one of the few decent companies that have passed on the savings to their customers. Big props to them.

The customer was upset because the big Sony PS4 bundle in UK is priced at £429 and professional retailers like Amazon.co.uk are selling it for £429. But Shopto (a suspicious internet only Brit company) are charging preorder customers an extra £450 and if they don't pay it they will cancel the order. Shopto were angry that he raised the question and tried to silence him - but they can't silence the internet. I wish the police could shut down crooked companies .
