I'm not 100% sure but on IGN's wiki it says that it doesn't play any previous Playstation disc games including PS1 and PS2. Don't know about digital.
But I'm pretty sure PS1 and PS2 emulation wouldn't be hard to pull off so we'll just have to wait and see.

I believe it is cross-gen. So PS3 and Xbox 360 plus PS4 and next gen xbox.

I think Sony has something similar or the same where if a game comes out later then it needs extra content. Like with the original Bioshock. I think Microsoft did it with Joe Danger.
And I think the reason was the Wii U having a much smaller install base then PS3/ 360 since it's a new console.

I'm not saying Ubisoft is right for delaying the game or even releasing it next to GTAV and Wind Waker HD. But if you are a Rayman fan who only owns a PS3 and/ or Xbox, I don't see how this isn't great news for them?
I agree with the game not being successful sales wise. Gamers will most likely have their attention on other stuff like GTAV.
It's great news for PS3 or XB360 owners but sucks for Wii U owners especially for those who brought the system for this game. Hope the Wii U version gets some extra content to make up for the delay.
Every God of War game in NZ has been R16 and the playable demo for ascension was also R16. It's weird seeing it as R18 in Aus.
I think Rayman is multiplatform but it's for next gen PlayStation and Xbox so they can't announce it. Bayonetta will stay exclusive since it's being published by Nintendo.
Hopefully PS4 at least has backwards compatibility for digital PS3/ PSN games.

It's suppose to be 2.2GB Video ram and 4GB for System ram which is suppose to be 8GB now, to compete with the next Xbox.
A lot of people across the globe still don't have a HDTV so I don't think they would take out composite or component.
But even if they do, apparently it'll have a built in DVR so we'll still be able to record gameplay.

Yes, they should definitely do this. Or at least give the DLC for free. PS3 owners deserve it.
These games are just spin-offs and I'm sure a full R&C game with the core mechanics will be on the next gen PlayStation.

I haven't played it but the game was made by Insomniac's North Carolina studio for PS3.
"Tin Giant" another company separate from Insomniac is working on porting it to the Vita.
The original/ main Insomniac studio is working on Fuse.
Well the last Vita game had the number in it. "Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation".
So it could be called: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flags. It'll probably be a spin for AC4 which I imagine being a home console release.
