"By the end of 2007, Playstation 3 had sold 8,850,872 units total world wide. By the end of 2008 (which is not over yet), PS3 has sold 18,820,000 units.
By the end of 2007, Xbox 360 sold 15,872,280. As we stand, Xbox 360 has 26,490,000 in 2008"
Hmm lets do some math from your findings.
xbox 360 year 2: 15,872,280
PS3 year 2: 18,828,000 (not final)
Those numbers speak for themselves but you conclude that the gap isnt closing? ...
The main reason you dont see MGO on MGL is because MGO has an in game ladder and tournament system that makes gamebattles practically pointless. MGO and Konami have also held The MGO world championships though the MGO tournament system in which the best teams and individual players got free trips to tokyo to battle it out at TGS 2008.
Ohh and by the way, MGL did put on a MGO tournament at Comic-Con this year.
About damn time MGS4 got a GOTY award.
Cant wait to see what all this brings to LBP. Everyone gonna be remaking shooters.
I was just looking at the same thing Mikey.
MS opened at $35 this year and is currently at $20.60
I bet MS wont make any announcements regarding cuts but you know they are feeling the economy pains as well. Not to mention how they are struggling in their other divisions.
Sorry you failed. the first CS was first person, CSS copied socom and went thrid person.
The reason people say its so tactical is because everyone uses mics, you must cordinate.. but most of all NON RESPAWN. Who like to be laying dead for 5 min wating for a round to end. Thats what makes socom so great. Intense moments and freedom in the gameplay and character movement.
Sure there are other good shoooters out there, but socom was, I believe, the first succesful t...
I failed to see a question mark in your previous reply. I am curious to know... what online tactical shooters were done over and over that didnt make you feel like you were wearing horse blinders before socom?
What exactly has been done over and over? Last I checked SOCOM was one of the first online tactical shooters and no other shooter gives you that feel of freedom and control.
Im guessing you never played SOCOM and are looking for something to discredit it.
fluid character movement.
freedom of character movement: dive, prone, lean, lean while prone. Basically allows you to use anything as cover.
traditionally non respawn which makes you value your life more and creates fun, excitement, and tons of intense moments.
Most of all, third person doesnt make you feel like you have horse blinders on.
SOCOM just gives you that feel of being in full control of your characters life. I think thats ...
For all that think SOCOM isnt anything special.. one thing has always set it apart from any other shooter.. and thats GAMEPLAY.
I'm just wondering if anyone actually zoomed in on the NBA Live 08 and Smackdown images. I was shocked myself at the difference in terms of detail.
That is called a hack? All it does is change the colors.. its dumb. Enemy's have a red target over their head anyway.
Everyone is so over dramatic about this hacking.. Even if it was a game braking hack this dude can't be in every freaking room at once.
All I do is play online multiplayer and I have yet to have my game experience ruined by a hacker. If the time comes.. I will quickly report the person and search for a new room.. big deal.
