To some extent they are "loyal" to Sony products. Don't ask me why, but Sony has connected with the market there even though they usually catch the tail end of the games. Europe still loves Sony.
Nintendo has an established foothold in Europe as well, it's MS who has to most work to do over there. Will they split it? Who knows but current sales trends aren't showing them picking up the pace fast enough to do so.

The game's concept was so drab and under developed. Throw a bunch of hulking space marines at an ugly enemy force and a large nuke-like explosion in the end for good measure. Here's to hoping Epic can do more than just multiplayer games, because as good as UT3 was, the campaign was also laughable.
