I'm still amazed that we've seen it all running without a hitch so far.
Actions speak louder than words. See you at the end of the year.
That they've actually played KILLZONE or better yet, KILLZONE LIBERATION?
Probably not many. Moving on.
No one game should hold up a console, and I don't expect Killzone 2 to do that. What I BELIEVE it will be, is a fun and solid game that stays true to the Killzone universe.
Calling out haters, and then predicting the future.
Sorry to tell you, but regardless of what you hope the game will be, there are no guarantees. To use your lingo, "what if it's a shiney turd?"
See what I did there?
Define "long shot".
Please do, so that we can have this conversation again once 1UP shows the footage to the public. ;)
And, no I'm not trashing the game.
It's not as if you were guaranteed to have some sort of issue with the PS3 version. :|
I loaded up the game, downloaded the patch and all seems perfectly fine so far. Just went through 2 missions without issues. I haven't tried online since, but I doubt there's anything wrong on my end.
But I've been playing online since day one.
Try generalizing over in the open zone.
Yup.
I'm sorry, but that's just a bunch of nonsense fiction. Considering that PS3 was delayed across all regions pretty much kills your claim.
Hardware-wise the PS3 was set. Software is always work in progress. It's developers(1st and 3rd) who weren't prepared for launch. If you want to discuss a rushed console, I'll gladly point you in the right direction.
While the general bitter media has near faded away it's clear some have it in their mind to continuously slander Son...
but it's another to start basing your weak arguments upon rumors and straight up ignorance on your part.
Realistically, how much more do you REALLY expect the Xbox hardware to be pushed?
Did you cry a little when you saw the gameplay footage today? Tell us the truth you pretentious little woman. ;)

A versus based mostly on hear-say and previews taken out of context.
ps. the site is riddled with dirty pop-up ads.
Same level? Haha, edit your message. I know you want to.
and the single player story more than anything else.
While Resistance:FoM was my first PS3 game and it did get a lot of online play out of me, there was something that just felt a bit off about it.
I always thought that it felt a little too fast paced for a 40 player game. Not many people worked as a team...which isn't a problem exclusive to Resistance. 60 players is just intimidating to me. Thankfully Insomniac is all about the option of making matches smaller.
Yup. Gaming journalism has problems. Most of the times it's bland & biased.
I can't think many industries where MOST reviewers have such little understanding as to what kind of work goes into crafting the final product.
The majority of these guys came from Gaming stores and have little to no understanding of the technical side of video game creation.
edit: Disagree-er, care to explain yourself or do you want to play disagree tag instead?
Too "tech-y" wouldn't fit into the Killzone universe. If you've played through Killzone and Killzone Liberation you'd see that most of the weapons are pretty grounded in terms of realism. No lasers guns or anything out of place like that.
Think of it like the Aliens(movie)series. It takes place in the distant future with a lot of familiar weapons to what we use today.
of the game. It's based on a harsh planet. While what I've seen from Gamersyde looks brighter than the trailer we've seen last year, it's still in context of the atmosphere the the game is set in.
The larger scaled battle. Hopefully there is more of that.
Visually, looks similar to first game, which isn't a terrible thing. Depth blur = good.
