You can say the same for ps4. Most games are just indies available on pc, only one exclusive AAA title and relying on multiplats that are available on last gen. So, by your reasoning no one should buy ps4 aswell. But core gamers know that games will come to these new systems which will make use of what the systems have to offer, we just need to wait and enjoy what we have right now.

I think the videos are from IGN and like the one on gamespot videos, they said it was a debug kit that was given to them and do not represent the final product. That might answer ur first question.
Regarding liveries the forza community has very good painters be it original, race replicas ect.. so no worries with that, they just probably tested and played with the editor. I read on the forums that in single player u can choose to turn off liveries.

Not a HARDCORE SIM racer but it is still a simulator if you read the interview. GT should have sacrificed weather and night conditions as well, because it is not good at all it is just included just for the sake of saying we have this feature. Result is tracks look bland, frame rate suffers, most cars are copy paste from previous GT, car sound which is part of simulation is a disgrace, ai no improvement, lack of tuning options ect.. GT is just a driving simulator just like foza and not a hardcore racing game.
GT isn't a hardcore simulator as well. GT has good driving physics thus a driving simulator but not hardcore. GT doesn't even have proper tuning options to be considered hardcore. Same with Forza it's not hardcore but is a driving simulator. Forza continues to improve on physics, ai, community, car passion that is why I think it is the better game.

I don't think the ps3 was able to catch the xbox 360 because it was a better system. I think people just wanted to try new things, new games. I mean, why not? the price is getting cheaper and no one said you can own only one console.
