I'm sure they are implementing higher security measures,but as with every console it's just a matter of time before somebody cracks it.
I don't know how far into development the new generation of console's are, but they have got to be working on them by now. I honestly think they will just try to ride out the current gen as long as possible, and when they start to see a significant decline in hardware and software sales they'll announce them. Agreed. For any normal game an 8.5 wouldn't be bad at all. Im not saying that an 8.5 is bad, but you can't deny the fact that for a game as big as this, the score is disappointing. It was in development for a very long time, and even after that they still wanted to do tweaks here and there to make it better. Had this game been released a year and a half to two years ago, there's no doubt in my mind it would score 10's across the board. In my opnion it was hyped up way too much...
Regardless of sales. I personally really enjoyed this game. It was definitely one of my favorite games this gen. I felt some parts dragged on a little bit, but as a whole it was great. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a specific part in a video game more than the Anderson farm. That was just plain awesome and fun.
Thats actually going to happen soon. They are making a new backup manager now that will have backup support for Blu-ray, Ps1, and Ps2 support.

I'm Sure sony will try to do something. The question is will they be able to? Look what's happened with the psp. Sure they've done things in the past to stop it, but a couple weeks later somebody comes out with a workaround for it. It will just be a never ending battle of firmware updates and fixes. good idea. except the dongle can block those updates, and the dongle itself is upgradable.
Even if sony does come out with a fix for it such as a firmware update its simple to keep it working. You Just Don't update. This dongle also blocks the update's needed to play games.
why do so many people think you have to download the games? This mod doesn't allow you to download a game, put it on a hard drive, and play it. All it does is lets you rip a game to an internal or external drive, and play it from that. People aren't gonna be downloading the games. Watch as Ps3 game rentals skyrocket.
If any of you still seriously think this is fake your mistaken. Multiple reputable mod stores are taking pre-orders for it. If one obscure store was selling it then i'd say it's a fake, but a bunch of stores aren't gonna do that just to make some money and risk losing customers and future business. If this is the new PSP I think this sucks. What if I don't want a phone? I just want a new PSP. If they release another version then cool. Maybe this is just a gaming phone, and they'll release a new psp that isn't a phone.

For ps2 games these days I just go with emulation. All you need is a semi decent computer, and you can run games in 720 and 1080p at 60fps or even higher if your computer can handle it. They'll look just as good or even better then a re-release. Plus you can do it with almost any game. I don't see the point in going to buy a ps2 if you just wanna play a couple of your old games you still have.
I agree with you, but if advances are made quick enough I can see it becoming mainstream within 3-4 years. I still think the glasses are a big turnoff for most people, but I dont think we'll be needing them much longer. Nintendo has already done it so we know its possible. It's just a matter of time before one of the big tv manufacturers does it.
I hope the lag isn't that bad. I did notice differences in lag depending on the game. The kinect adventures lag was pretty bad when they were jumping. I thought the ubisoft shape up game looked a lot more accurate, but it had this like weird mirror effect. when she moved her left hand in front of the camera her body in the game moved the right hand. I thought it was lag at first, but it wasn't.
A lot of people are comparing it to netflix saying that it's similar. which it is, but the difference is that netflix offers you thousands of movies, a lot of which can be watched instantly, and others that can be rented for as long as you want. Also when your subscribed to netflix it doesn't cost any additional money to rent, or watch any movie that they have. You pay the same price no matter what. Sony gives you a couple games a month for free, but all the other ones that aren't...
Who cares about mobile games? Is any serious gamer really into them all like that? They're casual in nature. You really want to do some serious gaming on a phone? I never have and wouldn't spend money on one. They can make their profit through in game ads. Freemium strategy only succeeds because people are actually dumb enough to pay money for in game items. Stop doing that and they'll stop.
