NooooOOOOooooOOOOOooooOOOO!!!! !!
360 gets Bioshock and GTA IV Episodic Content (I don't even know what that is)
PS3 gets.... L.A. Noire
....
WTH?
I'm guessing this was showing the power of the engine being able to process 20 gigs of high-detailed textures, instead of actually using 20 gigs of textures in a game.
Because even with 50 gigs on a dual-layered Blu-ray, 20 gigs on one race track for a game is a little over the top. Plus, he said it would be used for the 360 and PC too.
But that's an ACTUAL church. That church physically exists, and money was spent to use that ACTUAL place. That happens everywhere with movies. You're right, it's required then.
But this is a fictional cathedral. They never said that it was "the" Cathedral of Manchester. They never said that this Cathedral is the one the Church of England is right now defending. They said to Sony that it looks too similar to a building they own, so, now they want money.
I think you've misunderstood the article...
Read it again. It's the other way around.
I don't know about the CoE *thanking* Sony, or Sony just throwing money at the problem...
If Sony does pay them, then the CoE are going to think they can get money from any media that reveals something religious without their permission. It's gotta start somewhere.
2) A substantial donation from the game's profits (Ok, if Sony did not pay a commercial fee to use the cathedral as a backdrop, yeah then maybe a little bit. Ok, problem... they want a "substantial" amount).
I don't remember, but is this referred to as "THE" Cathedral in Manchester, or "A". Because last I recall, it didn't name the Cathedral or anything of that matter. Like someone said before, this is like New York suing Rockstar over Liberty City...
Indeed. All you have to put in your article is, "Wii is outselling PS3 5-to-1"
I can't remember how many times I've read that irrelevant piece of information in articles pertaining to something completely different.
Comparing how the Wii and DS are doing against the PS3, I'm actually surprised that there are more Sony games on there than Nintendo. Decent amount, too.
I really don't think Sony realizes how many people are waiting for a price drop. Or more games.
I guess we'll have to wait until later this year for either, huh?
Oh, and what's Biohazard 5?
So, what you're saying is that because a building is affiliated with religious beliefs, it shouldn't be allowed to be portrayed in a negative manner?
I'm sorry, and no disrespect, but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If you don't like it, don't play the game. Just because you have certain beliefs, doesn't mean everyone has to agree.
Lets use a hypothetical:
Let's say the church wins this legal issue, and the game is taken off shelves.
...
One thing that makes me think "why did he even right this?", is that in the beginning of the article he says "Sure, games like Gears of War and Halo 3 are the obvious reasons to justify an Xbox 360 purchase. But what else do you get that makes Microsoft's console better than the PS3?"
And then adds Bungie at the end of the list.
That's like compiling a list of reasons why the PS3 is better excluding the built-in wireless, then at the end sayin...
Would anyone agree with me in saying that the PS3's first-year games will be better than the 360's first-year games?
I'm NOT trying to start a war, I'm just voicing an opinion of mine and I would like to see if anyone agrees.
Granted, all of PS3's good games are coming late in the year, but it's in the first year nonetheless.
Anyone worried about PC's losing exclusives?
I mean, Windows already F'd up Games For Windows (In my opinion). Are they trying to give people reasons to not buy gaming computers?
As a hypothetical, if Crysis were to go to consoles, on top of this, and Bioshock, why would anyone buy a Vista gaming computer? Of course, die-hard mouse users still will, but the average/serious gamer would rather pay 460-650 bucks rather than thousands to play a game.

Something that I'm surprised no one else has said is that the fighting styles between Kratos and Nariko are completely different. They may use the same weapons, but the way they are used are much more different with Nariko. And it's where the differences between the two games stand.
One thing that always bothered me about GOW is that he would stand there, then just push out his arm, the chain would extend and then retract. That's very little swinging. And it's not really what ...
Don't post this! I want to wiiiiiiin!
:P
How do I make a Japanese account?
Is it difficult/illegal?
I don't know what developers you've been listening to, but I've never heard one say "saying the PS3 graphics are better than the 360's is just silly"
I of course don't mean word for word, but what I'm saying is the only people I've ever heard say the PS3 isn't really that great are bloggers with big words. Not from any developers.
The only industry people (that I recall) that said things bad about the PS3 was the Valve CEO and the EA CEO, in which they ...
Anyone notice that the screens of Warhawk were a new map? It said "The Badlands" Looks fun, like it's going to be in a canyon or something.
Can't wait for all of those.
And yeah, Pain looks like a fun friend game.
And LA Noire?
Did I miss something? When was that announced multi-platform? By Take-two, mind you...
And unless you personally work for Take-two, you're all-knowing abilities about multi-platform tendencies mean nothing.
