Spoken like a true CG artist. I totally agree, the game is absolutely beautiful and the space aesthetic works really well for the game and the engine.
Yes please.
This looks awesome, definitely one of my most highly anticipated games right now (right under Assassin's Creed 2 and The Saboteur). Mass Effect was epic.
Very interesting article, I like that he offers such balanced view of it by recognizing that while most people want more originality we don't tend to spend our time and money that way. I really like that he's thinking about that before he buys games and prioritizing the less AAA titles that need the support the most.
I couldn't agree with you more, this was a rather immature joke post that managed to only insult my intelligence and leave me feeling like he tried to so hard to be over the top that it lost even the legitimacy to be funny. Silly and in poor taste.
Classy.
I'm so excited for this game, it looks amazing!
Someone just discovered Photoshop and forgot it wasn't '99 anymore.
Really? I probably spot a dozen of them a day in Downtown Denver (especially on the lightrail), I'm surprised you haven't seen any in the wild. I'm pretty attentive to the gadgets but I would guess I'd see more if I were looking. I know I don't notice as many G1's as some of my G1 loving friends.
Don't you mean that the iPhone accounts for 1% of operating systems out there? Here's an article from the same site that says that the iPod had 70% of the MP3 player sales in 2007. That doesn't even account for the iPhone, nor does it really account for the Zune but I think we can—at least—safely say that Apple had upwards of 60% of that market.

A year ago that was true, but since then Apple has finally woken up and realized that gaming can be an important part of the market and they've really pushed that line recently. Especially when Steve Jobs said he really sees the iPod Touch as a gaming device.
Steve Job's: "Originally, we weren't exactly sure how to market the Touch. Was it an iPhone without the phone? Was it a pocket computer? What happened was, what customers told us was, they started to see it as a game m...
Well, to be fair, not all of them are trash to be discarded right away, just 99.8% of them. I do think Rolando 1/2 by ngmoco:) comes closest to PSP or DS levels. Given a little more time, those guys will produce high-end mobile games. GameLoft is another company to keep an eye on.
That all said, it's ridiculous to say that the iPhone even threatens the consoles. There's a lot of skewed comparisons and wishful thinking there.
There are plenty of issues that will...
Where exactly did you come up with that idea?
That's a bit of a broad generalization sir, :-)
Hmm, probably right, they wouldn't have many places to go if a Zombie outbreak happened in Australia. Left for Dead meets 28 Days Later.
I like the game, it's not amazing, but it's fun. I just wish we'd get one of those hardware dock accessories that would give you a real analog pad. Gameloft has, by far, the best simulated analog pad so far but it still sucks.
Come on Australia, accept the appeal, you're gamers shouldn't have to miss out on this. I believe you have mature adults among your citizens :)
I knew about Alan Turing before reading this article but I hadn't realized that the British government had issued him an apology. One of the best articles I've read in a while and certainly a man who has had a huge influence on modern computing and gaming. I think it's relevant.
I have no actual knowledge of this but that seems a bit unlikely for Apple but I guess they were a very different company when they were founded.
It seems clear that neither Microsoft nor GGG are under contractual obligation here and as far we know Microsoft has not gone after GGG with legal charges. Since the reviewer showed that he had a legit copy and he got it from a reseller who shipped it early he's not at fault for having the game and since it wasn't a review copy he was, to my understanding, legally free to publish the review before the embargo. But a gaming publication like GGG should not have been surprised that there was a...
vhero, that seems like a plausible situation and not one without some precedent but if that were true why would Microsoft have chosen this site to work with? I mean no disrespect to G3, but there are larger game sites that would probably be happy to do what you suggest.
Lynx, how balanced and well tuned are the levels already there? Are they really up to a Valve level? If so then a few levels sounds like a great start with a lot of potential.
