PS3's RXS GPU is approximately the equivalent of nVidia 7800. There have been 7 generations of graphics cards that have come out since then. The predicted PC requirements for GPU in Crysis 2 may possibly be nVidia 240GTS. Which is 4 generations up from the 7800. In laymen terms, comparing the latest GPU with the PS3's GPU is like comparing PS2 with PS3's GPU.
As for the CPU... well it's "teh Cell!"

The only way you're going to lose [barely] noticeable quality in an HDMI cable is if it's much longer than the standard 3 or 5-meter. Some say that it's around 15-meters or so.
