Sony started manufacturing their units earlier and had more to sell. That's not to say if they both had the same to sell PlayStation wouldn't have sold more anyway,
@Razzer - he's not downplaying, he is correctly stating that Sony made customers buy more dualsense controllers as the old ones won't work on new games. If he was downplaying he might have said Sony are nickel and diming their customers, but would then have drowned in down votes.

I wasn't saying anything about production numbers or the other shit, just that Sony started production before Xbox and your article confirms that.

@Crazycoconuts MS delayed production to include full RDNA 2. They took a gamble. Whether that gamble pays off in the long run we will have to wait and see.
@Razzer, these are facts and widely published before last week. It's just facts, not sure why you have such an issue with that. It's not an excuse, I've said PS will outsell Xbox regardless, but Sony already had around 5m units made before Xbox started.
Nobody has a problem with Playstation having more users and a bigger fanbase. What is tiresome are the hardcore fans trolling and creating FUD because someone else likes to play on a different console.

I never suggested that. Xbox will never outsell Playstation, but all this chest thumping about sales is irrelevant when all stock of both consoles has been sold.
And I know plenty of people in the UK frustrated they can't get a series X. If no-one was waiting they wouldn't have sold out. Simple logic
